Xbox One Weekly Deals: Console with COD Ghosts for $499.99, 12M Live $39.99, Preorder deals & more

Xbox One weekly deals and sales at Microsoft Store, Amazon, Newegg, Gamestop Frys, Toys R Us and Best Buy.

andrewsimons3729d ago

Best console deal so far, free Call of Duty Ghosts.

Th4Freak3729d ago (Edited 3729d ago )

I wouldn't call that a good deal even if they gave you 2 CoD copies for free. Dead Rising, Forza or Ryse would be a good deal, CoD, ugh, well, no.

@Vegamyster I don't think they would accept that trash back again.

Vegamyster3729d ago

If they gave you 2 copies of Ghosts you could trade them in for anything you wanted lol.

Vegamyster3728d ago

@ your edit.

Future Shop and Best Buy let people up here in Canada trade in any game for a free copy of last gen versions of Battlefield 4, Ghosts or AC4 back in November. I got a 2 copies of Ghosts, 1 for the PS3 & Wii-U and traded both them in at Eb games for $60.

Sammy7773729d ago

why not drop Kinect and make the console 399? It wont change the faceoffs and outcome of console war but could make xbone sell a few more units worldwide

jacobvogel3729d ago

Their response:
"Xbox One is Kinect. They are not separate systems. An Xbox One has chips, it has memory, it has Blu-ray, it has Kinect, it has a controller. These are all part of the platform ecosystem."

Sammy7773729d ago

This is what is wrong with MS. Their sheer arrogance . Can you imagine what happens to the company in a few years when PC would be killed by tablets. They know that 500 pricepoint is a big hurdle and Kinect 2 is flop. Why not drop it and be in the game?

cleft53729d ago (Edited 3729d ago )

The DRM couldn't be turned off with a switch either, but apparently they found a way to flip the switch. Whatever though, people can spend their money on whatever product they like, no big deal to me.

Galletto33728d ago

@Sammy777
PS3 was able to overcome the price point, and if you have actually used Kinect, would know that it is not a flop, and actually works pretty well.

They aren't compromising because they see it playing for them in the long run. Its not arrogance, its just business strategy. Its their vision for their product to have a Kinect, and they are not giving up on it because they think it will pan out

CrossingEden3729d ago

You do realize that they are indeed making a profit off of xb1 right? And since every xb1 comes with Kinect that means that it's not a flop.

Apollo13729d ago

The question is: Will they sell more than PS4?

OrangePowerz3729d ago

They are not. There was a calculation of how much the parts cost if you count only the parts yes, but that doesnt include shipping, manufacturing or the share retailers take. Not even to mention the huge amount of money spent on R&D and licensing for the console and Kinect.

Neither MS or Sony make a profit on the console right now.

sak5003728d ago

@sammy777

Ignorant fanboi like you have no idea that kinect is integral part of xbox1 and is much better than kinect 1. If you have no idea what it's about then better to be quiet than look stupid.

I have paid more than 800$ to get xb1 in my country which wasn't on the launch list and it's still hovering at 600$ PP which means people are buying it where as ps4 is now below 500$ and plenty of stocks everywhere.

Tom873729d ago

Any one played LEGO Marvel?

jacobvogel3729d ago

Sweet Deal, LIVE 12 Month Gold Card for $40

Tom873728d ago

I remember eBay did sell 12M for $30 before.

demonddel3729d ago

They getting desperate Sony has their foot on their neck

ambientFLIER3728d ago

foot on the neck. lol. only in fanboy land. last i checked, MS is doing rather well and the xbox is selling strongly.

Still waiting on Konami to put the MGS Collection back on digital stores

Nyxus337d ago

I know right? And rerelease the games for current gen systems while they're at it.

just_looken336d ago

Do not worry they will give use those pichincko remakes for top dollar soon.

Metal gear solid 3 in the fox engine looked/ran amazing but was sealed away :(

https://www.youtube.com/wat...

Sarcasm337d ago

I know re-makes and stuff have been played to death this generation.

But damn I wouldn't mind an MGS4 remake

gold_drake336d ago

i played it quite recently and it holds up very well

CantThinkOfAUsername336d ago

It does, but a remake will be available on platforms other than PS3.

itsmebryan337d ago

I thought the series would have sold more over all these years and different releases.

Ready4nxtgen337d ago

Yeah I would have thought over 150 Mil. Something.missing here

Nyxus337d ago

Metal Gear isn't that big, and there hasn't been a new release in years. Also MGS2 and 3 are still missing from digital storefronts.

shinoff2183336d ago

5 mgs games in total if I'm not mistaken. 59 60 million seems about right. Mgs is dope to some of us but it would be hard for a lot of regulars to understand

ChasterMies336d ago

I would love to buy MGS4 but it’s still a PS3 exclusive.

JEECE336d ago

Although there are notable exceptions (GTA, certain first-party Nintendo games, Gran Turismo), as a rule games didn't sell as much in earlier generations as they have in the past few generations. So a lot of PS1-PS2 era titles that are viewed as seminal games didn't actually sell all that much by today's standards (yes, despite the large install bases of those systems lol). I remember a similar surprised reaction happening a few months ago when Square announced the total overall sales of Final Fantasy VII.

Deathdeliverer337d ago

Some of the best fun you can have online was the first metal gear online and to a lesser, but still fun to an extent, MGO2. The magazine, CQC, stealth, and tactical play Vs real players is just a blast. Not to mention playing Snake vs everyone? Amazing. The game will never be the same without Hideo, but Konami can definitely update what’s already there and take my money.

ceyoga336d ago

You wouldn't be talking about the OG MGO that was included with MGS3:S would you? It's rare running into another former player. Those were some of the best memories of any online game I had.

Deathdeliverer336d ago

Yes my man!! That seems like the BEST game that nobody played! Tranquilizer pistol, drag the body to a corner and lay a girly mag right by their head so they wake up and instantly get caught by the mag. You could get real toxic if you wanted at that point, but man that game was incredible! The only thing annoying was that damn Konami ID

Holy crap, R&C Rift Apart is a huge score for those who haven't played it! It was so good.

just_looken344d ago

i agree though I don't have a ps5 but i will activate this when the prices get out of apple range.

outsider1624344d ago

Well lets hope its soon, because you never know when the game will leave psplus.

DivineHand125344d ago

I don't think it is fair to compare the PS5 to apple prices since an iphone hasn't been at $499 since the original iphone launched.

One thing I can say at your benefit though is that in gaming then longer you wait to buy, the better the deal, though if you wait too long your backlog will get out of control.

LordoftheCritics344d ago

Rift Apart is the best chill game I've played this gen.

System seller on PS Plus is a huge win.

roadkillers344d ago

I think you can redeem over your phone, no? When you get a PS5 you will have games.

MasterChief3624344d ago

A huge score for those of us that didn't just buy it literally one day ago and it's on the way now :'(
But I guess it's good to own it, as well! And I don't think I want to get PlayStation Plus right now, so it's not a huge loss. But it is still a little saddening.

I got my PS5 today, actually! Been wanting to play Rift Apart for so long. And I played Astro's Playroom at a friend's house, and that was when I was like, "I NEED THIS." Such a fun little game with so many wonderful references to Playstation stuff!

Anyways.

potatoseal344d ago

You could just re-sell your copy that is coming in the mail. But it's up to you. Rift Apart is so damn good. It blew my mind how good it looks and plays.

Dirty_Lemons344d ago (Edited 344d ago )

I hope you love it, dude. Nothing beats a shiny new console, and the PS5 is 👌 May I recommend Returnal, challenging but not Soulsborne-level challenging, and extremely good making use of those new haptics you're going to be playing around with.

Tapani344d ago

Hey I'm a relatively new PS5 owner here, but how does this new PS Plus system work? So if I go in at the Premium level for a month, it would mean I can play Horizon 2 and Ratchet & Clank just like that, right?

closed_account344d ago

Yea, you don't even need to sub Premium if those are the 2 games you're after, they're included on PS Plus Extra.

Premium just adds the legacy library of PS1, PS2, PS3 titles that are on the service.

Played and platinumed Ratchet And Clank: Rift Apart at launch. Loved it so much. 9/10

Am I going to download and play Bus Simulator 21? You bet :-D

potatoseal345d ago

Was just thinking I wish Bus Simulator was PSVR 2 compatible. Imagine looking over your shoulder at the passengers you pick up? Haha

*turns head around while driving*

"Shut the Fk up back there!!!! You want me to crash the bus?!?!?!?!!"

Davros69344d ago

haha, you sound like an Aussie

MrNinosan344d ago

Have to download it as well. Is it compatible with wheel?

potatoseal344d ago

Yeah apparently it's compatible with a fair few wheels. Game has been out a while.

just_looken344d ago

Yeah the vr experience on playstation continues to be crap compared to pc sadly.

Bus sim 21 vr on pc
https://www.youtube.com/wat...

And do do that well its on pc duh crap $700 console should do vr on alot more than select titles

potatoseal344d ago

PS VR2 is actually really awesome man. I have one. It's only new, so maybe I will wait for Bus Simulator 21 to get a VR update then. Judging by that video, the game looks fun in VR

just_looken344d ago

I doubt it will look at psvr 1

Dandalandan117344d ago

Will definitely download Bus Simulator as well.
My son will surely have a blast with it.

PS Plus IS the best gaming subscription.

S2Killinit345d ago

It really is the best way to go.

crazyCoconuts345d ago

For a lot cheaper than the other guys even

PhillyDonJawn344d ago

102 games aww that's cute 🤭

Petebloodyonion344d ago

Well technically the best deal remains by far EPIC games free offering since well it's free but aside that it's a hell of deal :)

andy85344d ago

Its funny, a few months ago this would have got so many down votes but it probably is now, the Extra/Deluxe service is flourishing. Even a day one game this month is added

andy85344d ago

@phillyDonJawn that's games added, not total. PS sub has more games on it than Gamepass but keep reaching 😂

potatoseal344d ago

@ PhillyDon, lol there are something like 534 games on PS Plus Extra right now. That is not including PS Plus Premium

+ Show (5) more repliesLast reply 344d ago
ModsDoBetter345d ago

Seriously didn’t even realise how good the PS offering was.

I’m on the highest tier but the only things I gravitate toward are the two monthly games.

It was only recently that I found how to properly browse the PS+ section on the dashboard and there’s a ridiculous amount of high quality content on there.

I own a good amount of them either physical or digital but still a great selection.

Crows90345d ago (Edited 345d ago )

Yup. Ps extra is cheaper than gamepass ultimate as well...until those quality Xbox 1st party start actually kicking in ps+ is the most affordable and highest quality service.

I'll be trying out legion and humanity for sure.

MasterChief3624344d ago

So how does it work? Are these all available now? Or is it a rotation system? I literally only got my PS5 today and am a bit of a newb of this console generation.

potatoseal344d ago (Edited 344d ago )

These are all available right now I'm pretty sure. But I will post the actual lists of games. You will know in advance if anything was to be taken off this list too. A good time in advance.

PS Plus Essential (lowest price) - is the normal PS Plus and you get games every month. Here are the games for this month...
https://www.pushsquare.com/...

PS Plus Extra (mid price) - Is same as essential, BUT has all these extra games from this list, except for the PS1, PS2, PS3 and PSP games, (there aren't that many). More releasing every month. Here is all the games from PS Plus Extra
https://www.pushsquare.com/...

PS Plus Premium - same as essential and extra. But has all the PS1 and PS2 and PS3 and PSP games. More games releasing every month. Here is the list of games from this one...
https://www.pushsquare.com/...

Glad you got a PS5. It's a good investment. So much to play and so much to come. Have fun man

Ps5conehead344d ago

These are available may 16th

meanmallard345d ago

Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin Is fantastic, I can't recommend it highly enough.

Even though you have never heard of it it went on to sell well over a million copies.

meanmallard345d ago

If even one person reads this and plays it and has half as much fun as I did I'll be super happy.

jznrpg344d ago

I own a physical copy good game
