This would be such a great franchise to reboot. A darker game than Dishonored, but focused around stealth and large scale heists from an oppressive monarchy.

Dishonored and Bioshock and Deus Ex (and the original Thief games, of course) did fine w/o multiplayer. Sad how whenever a game like this comes out, we always have to have THIS article, as if it's assumed every game should have multiplayer. The console-ization my my beloved PC franchises, I tell ya.
IN this day and age Sony/Ms have put pressure on Devs to Staple, Duct tape, or glue a MP onto a SP game in hopes of getting more revenue from MP online play as COD took off to tremendous heights in sales.
So I find it very relieving to see a game being made with just a focus on SINGLE PLAYER.
Because not every Game needs Killstreaks, Perks, Glitches, and a spit glued on MP to be a good game.
Usually a good story, great Dev support, and valuable DLC will make a SP game sell very well.
For Gaming Gods Sake just look at the OVER 20 million units sold Skyrim did with it being just a SP game.
Thief now has my money as a focus on SP just made my day as I have 20 other games with MP when I want that online gameplay.
Games like Zelda, Stalker, Half Life, Fall-out and many others with great SP gameplay is what Gaming is all about because I may not be in the mood to play with others but instead enjoy a nice time in a virtual reality world far away from other humans for a while without having to hijack a Space Shuttle just to do it.
Does everything have to have multiplayer? No. It just needs to deliver quality.
Im glad to see that games such as Infamous Second Son and Thief are focusing on the single player element rather that trying to find a way to create a multiplayer environment.
Does anyone view the lack of multiplayer, in a series that never previously had it, as a good thing for, if nothing else, the fact that development for said multiplayer didn't take away from development of the singleplayer itself?
