Sony Online Entertainment closing MMOs, teasing new ones

Sony Online Entertainment has spouted a fountain of news. First and foremost, it's closing a quartet of old MMOs: Vanguard: Saga of Heroes, Wizardry Online, Free Realms and Clone Wars Adventures.

Not enough people play to justify the upkeep, broadly speaking. Apparently Vanguard had been running at a loss for "a long time" but SOE didn't have the heart to tell players. That's what company president John Smedley told people on Reddit (via VG247).

I tried to enjoy Free Realms, but it was so annoying for two reasons

1 I had a gig+ update everytime I started it
2 Everytime you moved more than 5 feet you had to pay for something to go any further.

Funny, I just recently deleted Free Realms from my PS3 to make room for DmC or something. I only played it like once to try it out, about 3 years ago or so.

Shuyan the Kung Fu Princess - A iOS episodic action adventure game

There´s tons of talent behind Mark media´s upcoming iOS Kung Fu fighting episodic adventure game “Shuyan the Kung Fu Princess”. People that has worked on titles such as “Star Wars: The Old Republic“, “Mass Effect”, “Batman: Arkham Asylum” and ”Dragon Age: Origins”.

So the hype is on for sure. But will the game live up to all the hype?
