5 days of Titanfall let's rock!

truefan13735d ago (Edited 3735d ago )

Man aren't you an anti Microsoft/xbox guy? Anyway gosh dangit it starts on Valentines day, so everyone will have a full day head start on me. This might be the worst news for ps4 fans, they can no longer lead the internet charge of hate if everyone has played the game. Man I can't freaking wait, I'm PREPARING FOR TITANFALL.

ritsuka6663735d ago

Tital Fall is surely going to ROCK!

HarryB3735d ago (Edited 3735d ago )

This maybe the second best thing from france. The first is french fries.

Btw this leak does not confirm a pc beta. Confirms xboxone and xbox360. Id prefer to play pc version. But I have a 360 and wouldnt mind playing on that.

Gazondaily3735d ago

Please let it be so! It would be a smart move too; I would pre-order this straight away to get into the Beta.

KingDadXVI3735d ago (Edited 3735d ago )

I agree. Not that TitanFall really needs any more hype but it would be wise for them to have a Beta before the mad rush hits the servers and starts stress testing their code.

Nothing could be worse than for the game to launch and then have a serious online disaster like BF4 had. Not that I think that will happen. These guys know what they are doing.

They really seem to have treated the engineering of this game the way I do my engineering work. Be upfront about what you need to accomplish your goal and insist on having the tools, infrastructure and support. They insisted and MS seems to have given them what they wanted.

Oh, and I know I am almost 42 but I want that damn T-shirt too.

Come on Beta!

thehitman3735d ago (Edited 3735d ago )

I know Dice got a lot of flack for BF4 net code, but in their defense somebody who knows a lot about network infrastructures BF4 I think is kind of advance for the network infrastructures we have in our homes. There is a lot going on dynamically in BF4 that really not a lot of games have. Fighter jets flying above you tanks shooting, walls and bricks blowing up, building collapsing, water moving dynamically. All of that data needs to be calculated and sent across servers/network and majority of people cant handle that bandwidth. I have BF4 for PS4 and the only bugs/lag I seen was in Conquest mode while the other smaller modes worked just fine so I think its just the scale of BF4 being too much for its own good. I bet LAN play would run like butter.

Dang it, as I wanted to just continue my digital only purchases. Do you guys think I could just throw down $5 bucks and not buy the game? I hate to do something like that, but I just do not like buying retail I prefer getting it via the xboxstore...hmmm decisions decisions. I really would love to get my hands on this a few days wary though oh well.

Fishy Fingers3735d ago

Not sure if Gamestop allows it, but quite often I just pre-order, get the code and cancel the pre-order. No money usually has to change hands.

Personally, I dont understand you attraction to digital only, it seems like a pointless exercise to me. I'd rather just get the game retail, for cheaper and have it delivered to my door on launch day. No drama, no downloads, no reinstalls and I can lend/sell it to someone else when I'm done.

pompombrum3735d ago

Don't start the beta on valentines day.. don't make me choose between my GF and my most hyped game of the year :(

pandehz3735d ago

There is only one choice here.

She can wait hahaha

pompombrum3735d ago

Lol reminds me of the WoW saying "women come and go but epics are bind on pickup"

MegaRay3735d ago

I left my GF for the alpha and I got disappointed and she break up with me, son dont do a mistake that will change your whole life, and her's too. Dont do it, listen to your heart and it will tell you what the right choice

Although the late 2000s Turok wasn't my favorite, I would love a new entry. Open world survival with shotguns and dinosaurs. Not sure how we'd get the fusion cannon, but that would be pretty sweet too.

MadLad588d ago

Lol

All of these games are pretty much universally praised. Outside of Timeshift I literally own all of these.

Venoxn4g588d ago (Edited 588d ago )

XIII, The Darkness 2, Far Cry: Blood Dragon, Timesplitters: future perfect, Bulletstorm are awesome games

An ode to Titanfall: The last twitch shooter I'll probably ever enjoy

Windows Central: "Titanfall 1 is being sunset, taken off storefronts by EA. While the servers remain live for now, one has to wonder just how much time it has left. I look back and pay tribute to the last "twitch"-styled shooter I ever truly loved."

Physical media. Unfortunately the way games are going these days game servers will eventually be shut down and you can stare at the menu and wish you could play the game again.

littletad869d ago

This is why reading is so important. Nothing to do with digital or physical media. The game, which is online only, is being delisted because of DDOS and other hacker attacks. The case got so bad that only six players in the world log on. For PC. Rather than fix it, they continued to sell the game, broken as it is, and only now just decided to call it quits. But please, go on thinking what you will.

Ethereal867d ago

I'm aware of the DDOS attacks and that this case is not typical. This game would eventually have it's servers shutdown regardless of the current situation so that is a moot point. My comment was in a general sense and that there are instances in which games can be preserved physically when official support ends.

Let's recap your first sentence. I said, "the way GAMES are going these days" indicating a broader stroke than just this game. I agree, reading IS important. I was simply stating the obvious downsides of the digital marketplaces and online only trends in games these days. I could even make the argument that the online only offering which has allowed hacker manipulation has impacted the preservation of this great game. My comment is valid in the general sense and thank you for your permission to continue to think what I will.
