I can't believe the ps4 is selling so well. I guess that's what happens when you have a quality product like the ps4 and a history of supporting your quality products with quality software in abundance.

One last thing, the PS4 also has the flattest week over week loss at 30% which means that the demand hasn't plateaued yet.

Last week the PS4 added 99,743 to its gap advantage. So the gap grew this week, but at a 10% slower pace that the prior week.

Also, each week in 2014; the gap grows by about 90k a week in the favor of the PS4. We can use that to make predictions.

Some advise son, those remaining territories will mean jack schit for changing the inevitable outcome. Sure M$ will get a few extra sales but without a major pricedrop and AAA game releases not much will change. As soon as Supply of PS4's >> demand you will see and experience something you have never witnessed in your life. There are 160 million potential PS3/X360 owners 50.x/49.x split maybe wanting to upgrade, from what I see there are a huge portion of that split earmarking a change of heart and jumping ship, so looking at the numbers so far so lets say 60/40 or even 70/30 shift. So just do the calcs of what the numbers predict. Sorry son I wish I could have been the bearer of better news regards to the XBone but the cards are on the table and the winner so far are very clear. Maybe the XBone2 will change the equation!

But you also forget that the X1 beat the PS4 in December because Sony released in more countries but that doesnt stop X1 fans claiming a victory.

If Sony released in just the same countries as MS then they would have sold those consoles in the US anyway. Point is the demand is there for the PS4 no matter how many countries it's released in.

Your post is irrelevant because the demand for the PS4 is consistent worldwide, they could sell it in 4 or 104 countries and they would still sell every...single...unit. MS are only selling in 13 countries (countries they feel are their most important), but despite that they still aren't having any issues with being out of stock. So while Sony can afford to spread themselves over more territories, MS can't.... because the demand just isn't there like it is with the PS4. If they aren't even having any trouble with supply in their few most important countries, selling in 53 like Sony would be disastrous. A well stocked MS can't even outsell a supply constrained Sony.

You can spin it anyway you want to make the X1 sales seem more impressive, but it's being completely dominated.

Countries are just irrelevant concepts in that argument.

yeah sort of how the xbox 360 outsold the ps3 about 3:1 for its entire life cycle in the states,but im the blind one,it is pretty clear xbox one is the next gen consolw of choice by the mer fact that ghost is the only next gen game in the top 10 and its on xbox one, i know this is a sony fanboy site and no one will see eye to eye with me,but i always enjoy being right about things and watching this site only cover the downsides or putting spins on things.

1) kinect will be a success and will outsell grand turismo 5 (which it did by like 10 million)

2)Move would fail,despite everyone on this site basically saying it will destroy kinect cause its more accurate and is like a better wii,it seems iw as right,no one cared about move,so the fanboys here quickly made it into "we hate dont like motion controls period,we are hardcore" lol but before it was move will be amazing cause its for the hard core gamers.....

3)Vita would fail,well it is isnt it? people will much a tablet or nintendos exclusives.

4)xbox will outsell the ps4 in the u.s.a ,my boldest prediction yet has come true,and it will only get better because everyone i deal with who has an xbox one is pleasantly surprised due to the bad press people have gave it they are quite happy with it and dont understand why people talk bad about it,xbox will outsell ps4 10 out of the 12 months this year followed by some sort of price drop next e3 which will put even more heat on sony,xbox only needs a strong hold on the u.s.a to stay relevant and thats exactly what it will do,xbox one outsells ps4 30-35% this year,bookmark it.

This is exactly why arguing over sales is dumb. Look, both consoles released a few months ago, most of the people on my 360 friends list are goingt o upgrade to a X1, but want to wait before they do, same for my PS3 friends and the PS4. It's so early that fighting over it is silly. No one, on either camp, can predict the market. If we could, we wouldn't be in a recession and suffering as a country.

The most important thing people should focus on is launch numbers exceeded both Sony's and MS expectations. Other then that, who cares? Game on and enjoy what you play.

If you have a PS4, that should really be the main focus point for you. I can see wanting the PS4 to meet or exceed Sony's expectations so they continue to be around, but to say you cannot wait for the release of the PS4 in a country you don't live in so it sells more copies just so you can come back to this site and brag about it is very sad.

Well the Ps4 is $100 cheaper & maybe like myself don't like Kinect bundle with the XB1. There's no need for MS too force us too use it(it's a nice add on but don't bundle it with the XB1 MS that's one of the reasons your lagging behind in sales). You do realize that all you are doing is looking at a select block of time to suit your argument? Xbox isn't even ahead in the U.S.. Is it really that bad that you have to turn to a specific block of time when the PS4 isn't available in the U.S. to try to make a point?
