Just reading these things all i could think in my head was "Sony Fanboy Alert!"
There were a ton of positives in 2013 hat had literally nothing to do with Sony but this guy only was playing on his Playstation in the basement.

Did you not read the article Opie ?

To be clear, its 4 different people with different picks.

yeh yeh whatever cry me a river. Sony started out with a bang in February 2013 than MS had a chance to really make some noise yet we saw a xbox one cable box in may. Than come E3 sony delivered a clear cut message yet signals from MS were all over the place

instead of blaming sony how about we look at how many 180's MS did in 2013. How could one company that has dominated the US market get so much wrong in a span of 2 months?

If it wasn't for sony we would have no choice but to support MS and xbox one because Nintendo is no where to be found when it comes to home consoles yet again

Thanks for reading. I'm Sean, one of the writers of this content.

I fully expected similar reactions to yours when writing my list.

For the record, last generation I only played a handful of mutliplat games on PS3 and used mostly for media and exclusives. I played about 75% of my games on 360 and got a 360 first. I was totally expecting this generation to be the same until MS announced their restrictive policies for Xbox One.

Sony did everything I wanted them to do, and MS didn't. Sony earned my day one purchase, and MS, while righting what I found to be incredibly wrong, has to wait for my money until March.

That being said, based on my interests and want for freedom to do what I want with my discs that I buy Sony figuratively kicking MS and their terrible policies in the teeth was by far the best moment for me.

As for the other guys, yeah we picked that same moment because we all agreed that it was pretty spectacular. But the funny thing is Alex didn't get a PS4, and Ted has both and Xbox One and a PS4 and mostly games on PC. Ari got a PS4 and a WiiU and even says how much more he has been enjoying his WiiU and he also mostly games on PC.

If you want to call us Sony fanboys because a lot of us agree that Sony's E3 press conference was worthy of the number one moment or close to it, awesome. But we're actually just fans of games. Also I personally only care about Xbox and Sony because I haven't cared for Nintendo's consoles since the SNES and I don't game on PC, so naturally my list is going to focus on that space.

Your just mad that Sony did so well and that Microsoft screwed up badly this year.

The biggest moment of 2013 was when Call Of Duty Ghost made the fish move in the water. That was an epic moment.

Dude, that showed how much technology has advanced!
AI Fish
And Dogs!
This IS next gen!

Grave3749d ago

Wow, watching again made it even better. Sony destroyed Microsoft last year, period.

MasterCornholio3749d ago

Yeah Microsoft was begging for Sony to destroy after their stupid mistakes with Kinect, DRM and pricing.

MasterCornholio3749d ago

Oooooooo i remember reading this the first time and being so angry because of it.

Trade-in and resell your disc-based games: Today, some gamers choose to sell their old disc-based games back for cash and credit. We designed Xbox One so game publishers can enable you to trade in your games at participating retailers. Microsoft does not charge a platform fee to retailers, publishers, or consumers for enabling transfer of these games.

Give your games to friends: Xbox One is designed so game publishers can enable you to give your disc-based games to your friends. There are no fees charged as part of these transfers. There are two requirements: you can only give them to people who have been on your friends list for at least 30 days and each game can only be given once.

Glad that I absolutely can't stand subscription services.

Petebloodyonion8d ago (Edited 8d ago )

I don't recall Sony forcing you to subscribe like nobody forced you to go to Blockbuster to rent games instead of buying them.

SonyStyled8d ago

Pay-per-view was almost cheaper than the cost of gas and rental fee from Blockbuster. Blockbuster doesn’t exist today. Are you being sarcastic?
