Naughty Dog's The Last of Us Dominates Nominations for This Year's D.I.C.E. Awards

The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences just released the full list of nominations for the 17th Annual D.I.C.E. . (Design, Innovate, Communicate, Entertain) Awards, that will honor 2013′s best achievements in video games.

Since pretty much every one on Earth give TLOU(masterpiece) GOTY awards

the only thing left is Aliens giving it GOTY

Lol, I'm starting to wonder how many years had such a large consensus for the GOTY in the past. I'm pretty sure not many.

i have never seen that amount of GOTY awards from both critcs and gamers on one game ...exclusive game too

TBH i thought that would be impossible being ps3 exclusive and coming very late into last gen life
i thought with GTAV hype it would clear all the awards
i still remember reading comments saying that since GTAV scored higher than TLOU on metacritc it will be the Absolute GOTY winner
funny how thing turned out

Yeah I was pretty sure myself we'd see a ton more for GTA5 and less for TLOU, considering that GTA5 sold more and has more mass appeal.

But glad to see that's not the case. I like GTA5, but in terms of storytelling it doesn't hold a candle to TLOU

The difference between GTAV and TLOU.
GTAV = a reused formula. im not down playing the game. The game is great and one of the best in the GTA series. But this game is a sequel and the story is almost similiar to past GTA games.

TLOU = New IP and new story. Yes there are games out there that uses similiar formula but non have done it as great as this game.

i'm with you
but this will put alot of pressure on ND and it's kinda scary
every critc and gamer now hold them in an even higher place than they were with uncharted games
every one will have extremely high expectations for every game they make

Yep, they've set the bar for themselves very high and expectations are going to be through the roof. But if any studio can live up its ND. I'm sure they relish the challenge.

i think their fine, i enjoyed UC2 did not care for 3 as much, an still think TLOU is their best game yet.

will i be disappointed if their next game don't top it? no I'll enjoy each game as it is, it be more unrealistic too believe that each game must be better then the last.

it would be like every comment i make from this one will be better then the last, an more an more people would love an agree with it.

if not, it would be a let down an disappointment no mater how good said comment was.
