Every day I hope to read their announcement. One day I'll be right.

Grave3741d ago

I hope to God that when it does come out modders will have the same enthusiasm about doing a Red Dead Redemption port from GTA V.

Alexious3741d ago

That might be a little more difficult. But it's a damn shame that RDR never made it to PC.

Audiggity3741d ago

RDR on PC would be sweet.

Grave3741d ago (Edited 3741d ago )

^Totally agree. It looked amazing on console, I couldn't imagine how sick it would look on PC.

MadLad3741d ago

Yeah. Sad it never came to PC but, hell, I still own the console version.
It's not like it stopped me from playing the game.

il-JumperMT3741d ago

Lol at people thinking GTA 5 is a good game. Its decent but not even top 50 this year.

Audiggity3741d ago

Not even top 50?

Sorry bro - but 2013 was tough to even come up with a top 25. And if you don't think GTAV is a top 3 purely from a technical achievement standpoint... well... you'd be wrong.

But, hey, maybe you'll get an 'Agree' somewhere down the line.

gcolley3741d ago

He has his opinion and you have yours, yet you think your opinion is fact... classic n4g comment.

il-JumperMT3741d ago

Top 3?

Ni No Kuni
Bioshock Infinite
The Last of Us

They are all better then GTA5. I can continue for ever.

Audiggity3740d ago

@gcolley

Yes - everyone has an opinion. If everyone's opinion was taken seriously and without falter there would be complete World peace and debates would never occur.

My opinion in this case stems from the fact that GTA V was one of the most technically brilliant games ever developed. The time, money, detail and creativity that went into it is unbelievable. It also smashed sales records beyond anything else that has ever been released in any entertainment industry. It is also ranked in the top 5 "all time" games based on aggregate review scores.

So, to say it isn't "in the top 50" of 2013 is silly.

You need to be able to rank opinions based on validity and to look outside your own little bubble.

For example - I personally thought Bioshock Infinite was not a good game. Extremely linear. But, I appreciate the creativity that went into making it and understand why it is very well regarded. If I had the chance I'd request a refund for Bioshock Infinite... but I'm not naive enough to say it is a universally bad game just because I didn't like it.

Numbers, stats, sales, reviews, etc. mean something.

GadgetGooch3741d ago

Decent, its friggin amazing....one of the best games ever made simple as....

Audiggity3740d ago

Yeah, agreed 100%... from an objective standpoint, you can't falter it much (outside of the GTA Online issues, which ultimately stem from innovation and doing something that no one else in the industry can pull off).

From a subjective standpoint, one could argue that it's not a great game. And that's fine. But, consumers have spoken, and based on the almighty dollar - your negative opinion loses to GTA V DLC and GTA VI... sorry!

kingdom183741d ago

Agreed, well maybe not completely. But that aside I've played a few other games this year I loved much more.

Indo3741d ago

What I don't get is that they made GTA V on a PC then ported to PS3/360, so why they taking so long to release a PC version?

Alexious3741d ago

I don't think they made GTAV with PC in mind. PS3 and even 360 architectures are different than that of a PC.

PS4 & X1 on the other hand, are very similar, so there's hope for smaller or no delays for the next GTA.

Murad3741d ago

Actually, you're incorrect. The X1 architecture is more so similar to a normal pc's one, while the ps3 is not. I'm not entirely sure about the 360, but as far as I know, developing for the kinect isn't difficult, as some of the colleagues at my school programmed for it several times. I personally just think that Rockstar just didn't want to do a PC port, I mean, look at GTA 4, that game sucks without mods. It takes a hell of a good computer to run it at max, and it still doesn't look as good as many of the other games, such as Just Cause, and that takes up less than have of it's usages.

Ex-Rockstar Dev Finally Explains Why Small Planes Randomly Crashed in GTA San Andreas

Former Rockstar Games Technical Director Obbe Vermeij has finally revealed why some planes would randomly crash in GTA: San Andreas.

Profchaos10d ago

This fly by feature was on the cutting room floor due to the random plane crashes and it's one of those things I'm so thankful made it into the final version as these random fly by and crashes make the world seem more alive on the extremely limited PS2 hardware you needed everything you could possibly get in a open world to convey that feeling.

And accross hundreds of hours of gameplay I probably died around 3 times as a result of these fly by failures but I loved every time it happened

isarai10d ago (Edited 10d ago )

It made the world feel more human, and honestly kinda insane that even today with all these open world games, almost no one can capture that like R* even when compared to their ps2 games

Skuletor8d ago

Lol, I remember those. I vaguely remember dying from one crashing into my car once too.
