GameZone writes, "Earlier this week, Rockstar Games issued a title update for Grand Theft Auto 5's online multiplayer mode, GTA Online, in an effort to combat cheaters and exploiters in the game. The primary focus of the update was to remove the counterfeit GTA$ (money) from the game's economy. Should you be concerned?"
Grand Theft Auto V was released on PC on the 14th of April 2015. That means the game will be nine years old in four days, and it’s still among the most-played titles on Steam. With a 24-hour peak of 145K players, it’s as popular as Baldur’s Gate 3, Apex: Legends, and Destiny 2.
The freedom to explore large areas, approach objectives in multiple ways, and stumble across amusing distractions will always be an excellent format for video games, but some do it better than others. To celebrate the formula and parse the best from the best, have a look at the best open-world games of all time so far.
Red Dead Redemption 2 and GTA 5 are both classics, but movement and general interaction sometimes feels like you're possessed by a fridge.
Rockstar need to learn that 12 years of work and 5000 employees doesn’t account for one persons opinion on the internet…
The controls of RDR2 felt a but cluncky indeed, but it’s not as bad as some make it out to be. At no point did I get the feeling my experience with the game was held back or ruined by the controls.
But it can never hurt to optimize them a bit, sure.
Red Dead Redemption felt clunky at first but I got used to it fairly quick. I thought 2 was easier to control but it could be my experience with the first game helped me out. Great games
I wouldn't call Rockstar games characters clunky instead they feel like they move with Weight they are not twitch controls press x to instantly snap onto cover the characters instead move like a actor would ducking behind cover they are exposed while they get there.
I laugh at all the people who got kicked to the cheater lobbies for having hacked/cheated money :P
Still though, This is R* pushing the Microtransactions.
Anyway, Not touched the Online since it came out... Thank goodness for that.
This latest move to remove all illicit cash from players bank accounts was the last straw for me and R*. They're despicable in their crusade for micro-transactions.
This is how it has affected me.
I had been playing GTAO completely legit for the first few months. I had accumulated expensive cars, and apartments, along with millions of GTA$. (all legit)
On Xmas day, I was gifted MILLIONS of GTA$. So, what did I do? I went and spent a fair chunk of it.
Now that R* has removed all the illicit cash in my bank account - I'm completely broke. Why? (cause I did have millions before Xmas)
R* counted all my spending spree against my legit cash, and took all the illicit GTA$, leaving me with nothing.
That is so messed up. Part of me believes R* did this intentionally!
It's not my fault that their broken game allowed hackers to give tons of GTA$ to legit players, and I did the only natural thing: spend some of it. And now I have less than I did before the cheaters cause this whole ordeal... Does R* care? OF COURSE NOT!! THIS GOES ALONG WITH EVERY OTHER MOVE THEY'VE MADE IN MAKING GTA$ HARD TO OBTAIN!
It's boring until the heists come and even then I don't see myself playing online long term.
