Diablo III Review [PS3] | VGBUZZ

VGBUZZ: The legacy continues! Ok, first I must admit…. I went a little fan boy… ok a lot fan boy when the opening cinematic started. The minions of hell are back and the heroes are gathering to save the world of Sanctuary. Blizzard hit it big again with Diablo III. If you are a fan of the first 2 games, then 3 will more than fulfill your expectations and set a new standard. We get to see some of our old favorites and a lot of new additions. Updated graphics, new hero classes, new weapons and armor….insert fan boy squeal here….

this game is on my bucket list. i have been hammering rpgs on ps3 lately, been so many in PS+ offerings.

Many people are saying it's the best version. Good single player, no auction house, local co-op, and the Diablo legacy to build a solid game on. I actually really enjoyed playing Dungeon Siege 3 on Steam with my Dualshock 3, so I'm used to playing games of this nature with a game pad.

I still say the best console action RPG of the last 10 years or so is still Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance. Too bad the ending was abrupt so they could make way for the sequel.

I was going to wait on the PS4 version, but a friend bought the downloadable PS3 version and let me grab it for some co-op. The game is so good that I've played through it with multiple characters in both single and co-op, and I'll probably still buy the PS4 version anyway.

I bought the PC version at launch and now I have the PS3 version. I don't understand why, but the console version just feels a lot more focused.

PC players have all the rights to be angry at Blizzard because it feels like they had consoles in mind all along while developing instead of focusing on their core crowd, plus, it feels like they used the PC users as beta testers.

The PS3 version just feels more complete, solid and centered. The local coop and online coop feels solid as well. It is definitely not better than Diablo 2 it is actually by far inferior and easier, BUT it is still a great game, worth buying for local coop and farming.

Just an advice for any potential players, the game really starts at Hell difficulty. Normal and Nightmare difficulties are quite standard and easy but the cool stuff will start to show up once you have reached Lvl60 and Inferno mode. There are a lot of other quests to do once you have completed the game in the last difficulties like Key Warden runs, so don't judge the game just by your first run. Keep going through the difficulties.

PSD: I suggest you start the game on Master 2 difficulty so you get the extra bonuses it has.

The console version blows the PC version out of the water.

This is probably one of the only instances I can think of where even PC fanatics will agree with that.

I can agree to that bit the game still sux.The people who like this game are the people who never played Diablo2.I had diffrent standards for D3.

I've been playing Diablo since the original, and I still enjoyed this one...

Sure, Diablo 2 is the best one. But to say this one sucks is a little ridiculous. Its still a great game. You're comparing it to a game that is arguably the best of all time in its genre.

Sadly the PC users have to wait until the expansion before the PC version gets it's superiority back. I don't like the auction house because it took away from the experience of having to earn your legendary equipment. Because of the auction house the frequency of legendary drops is slim to none unless you buy magic find equipment from the auction house. Sad really, that will dwindle away with the expansion.

The expansion is how they should have made the game in the first place.
