Several different versions of Oculus Rift with slight changes have been tested during its development and eventually it seems that Oculus VR has developed a proper latest version of the Oculus Rift virtual reality headset. Tom Forsyth, the Software Architecture at Oculus VR and former Valve employee, confirmed via his Twitter account that the latest version of Oculus Rift virtual reality headset would be showcased during this years Consumer Electronics Show. Forsyth also said that the feedback of demo participants would be really helpful for the company.
Morels: Homestead, a relaxing game in which you can create your own unique homestead, is available now for PC VR.
Electronic Arts has confirmed that while F1 23 will support PC VR it will not support PSVR 2 on PlayStation 5.
That's fine. GT7 would overshadow it anyway at it has open wheel and regular cars.
Should have been spending their time updating Squadrons with better resolution, frame rate, haptics, etc as there isn't a game like that on PS VR 2 yet.
But it's EA. They don't think.
A wasted opportunity, but I don't buy EA / Codemasters stuff anyway. Grid Legends just came out on Plus and I haven't touched it. Why would I when I have GT7 and PSVR2?
Here's a forgotten VR gem for you from 2019. Epic Games' action-packed Robo Recall, which is also available for Quest 2.
Although I never owned an oculus, I played the demo for this at an electronics store. Pretty impressive in an early goings of VR title.
Please release this to consumers this year. Let's get the VR ball rolling.
Gimmicks..
Why people don't get this?
Cameras, motion control's and other kind of gimmicks only work righ for silly features.
Like a mic works fine for chatting and maybe some commands, a camera works fine for video chat, taking a picture for a 3d model character in a game or silly useless games made for casuals. This will inly work for few games the ones that are in fp view and it will only be a gimmick. i did enjoynthe 3d gimmick but it's just that a gimmick.
Its like reliving the 80's cellphone again. You know it's going to be successful. It just needs time to make it more practical.
First thing that popped in my head when i saw Oculus rift.

Next will hopefully be virtual reality MMORPGs.
I have always wanted Virtual Reality but I feel there won't be any software to do it justice. My mind tends to want an experience similar to .Hack, minus the getting stuck in the game world part. That sort of experience is a long ways off.
