This is situation about PS4 and Xbone in Austria.

One of my friend has been in Austria about 12 days just to buy a PS4 and he has returned a few days ago. He has been in Media Markt, Libro, Up2games etc.. and in Saturn/Media Markt/Gamestop in Munchen ( GER ). NOTHING! Every shop makes preorder for PS4. Said by sellers that PS4 will be available by the end of January. On the other hand, Xbone is available on all possible versions, from Xbone solo to Xbone Forza 5, FIFA 14, COD : Ghosts bundles etc...

So it's true. PS4 is harder to buy, everywhere is sold out and still selling in much higher numbers than Xbone.

He still doesn't have his PS4 because they are impossible to find in Canada.

Luckily I still have a ton of ps3 and xbox 360 games to play so I don't need a PS4/Xone for a while yet.

Excuses, I'm seeing more and more ps4's in stores now here in southern Cali, saw them at Target Wed, even saw a dozen or so on Friday while the PX on Camp Pendleton, took a few pics just because I keep hearing that you can't find them, I got the # you can call if anybody out there is looking, don't know how long they will last but they'll confirm they had a dozen+ a few times since Christmas. No Xbox ones, obviously that's not everywhere since I saw some customers with X1 at Bestbuy but none on shelf last week with no ps4's. Also ps4 has been in and out of stock on Amazon recently even more than X1.

EXCUSES, from ps fans when X1 sales look strong vs ps4= fact both are selling very well, ps4 "looks" to be doing slightly better.

uhm why is my comment anymore "serious" than those above like cell989 or imt558 comments? lol or are you just referring to Jokers line from a movie? I mean the only thing I'm pointing out is that although Id say ps4 has maybe more shortages WW than X1, the situation is different depending on where you go and comments like theirs suggesting that the just because you are spread thin across more regions vs better stock allocations of X1 in less markets but still limited and selling fast doesn't necessarily mean one of the consoles demand is significantly higher than the other. I don't understand why we just can't leave it at ps4 is selling better than X1 overall so far but both are doing very well.....it just seems some can't accept that and always want to downplay X1 sales as if it's doing "OK" only due to ps4 low stock.

For example if both only make and sell roughly 150,000 sold in 13 markets per week vs 150,000 sold in 30 markets per week is still 150,000 sold per week but obviously the demand in those 30 markets will look much higher due to less stock per market.

I actually check that periodically every day. X1 is always in stock and ha been for the past two weeks. The only time PS4 is in stock is when they are selling next weeks stock such as "PS4 in stock on the 14th".

The ratio is 4:3 right now worldwide. With PS4s being more demanded. So you can say both are selling well, which is relative to what you see. The gap is only growing.

One of the major reasons X1 sold this much is Microsoft is actually making a lot of supply. The "bigger" system parts are probably easier to manufacture that's why. But I can't wait to see your face when the X1 sales finally dip. Microsoft is pretty close to meeting all demand where the consoles can sit there for weeks.

I own both consoles, but I play my X1 the majority of the time. Of course I have like 11 games on the X1 compared to 4 on the PS4. I too am waiting for the exclusive that Sony is known for producing and I know it's coming. I'm just really digging the other features that the X1 brings to the table. I believe that dude when he says he's waiting for uncharted. Quite sure there are some PS4 owners waiting on a specific game inorder to buy an X1. I just so happened to have the money to buy both consoles out the gate. Some people don't, so they had to pick one then save more loot and pick up the other at a later date. These people, including me, are called "gamers". "Fanboys" are those that wouldn't even consider any other console besides the one that they tout.

Yeah both consoles are doing good but it seems they dropped in figures compared to the week before.the xbx one is pushing really hard though but in general they're both showing good numbers.

Also Im getting mine way before the next uncharted. Getting it with infamous:ss. Ive followed the series from part one. The new guy seems cool but a bit of a show off meanwhile cole mcgrath was just your everyday good guy. I wonder if he will show up in this one?

It's the only thing we have to judge how well these systems are doing. One officially figures start getting released we have to do with these. It isn't ideal as over a shorter time period Vg charts is less reliable. Over a longer period of time it is easier to use official figures as their is more of them (3 months sales figures, financial year data.....) but right now (2 months in) all we can use is Vg chartz

It's not the only source we can use, they are not a source. They are made up numbers. NPD, Charttrack, Mediacrate and announcements from the manufacturer are the only thing we can use. Last I looked into it there were 13 people "employed" by VGC that tracked, polled, compiled, and uploaded numbers from across the globe. Companies like NPD employ thousands and buy their numbers from retailers. VGC bases their numbers on a hunch.

HAHAH so true the other day at JB-hifi (BIG australian tech store) i saw this fat 50 year old indian guy with a moustache (no racist) ask for a PS4 and the salesperson said they dont have it, the salesperson convinced him to buy an XBX1 and he vouched for that shit. LOL... Salesperson's are already trying to get rid of xbx1 stock. (the console isn't THAT bad its just more expenisve and underperforms in comparison to the PS4)

We will not see If The PS4 or xbone will win North America until there is proper supply of PS4. We all know there are a large supply of x1 . I think in the USA it will be the best market for the x1 . Worldwide I think x1 will be a flop .x1 sale in the U.K are weak 70000 it was a big market for 360 . Worldwide the PS4 is going to destroy the xbone by a larger margin than PS2vs 360. The PS4 is sold out in japan and has not launched in Asia yet! According to vg charts PS4 has a 1 million console lead on x1 .PS4 3.9 million x1 2.9 million and PS4 is in short supply .

It's great to see the Xbox One doing so well! So much for all that internet backlash and polls with PS4 getting 90% of the votes. The Xbox One is ahead in North America this week and not too far behind worldwide, despite being available in less than a third as many countries as the PS4, and being $100 more expensive. Microsoft must be really happy with the results.

I can't imagine what would happen if the Xbox One got a price cut to match the PS4.
