Why GTA 5 Is the World's Best Boredom Simulator

Official Xbox Magazine: "When I think of Los Angeles, I think of strip malls and highways. I think of parking lots and concrete. I think of Ballard and boredom. Grand Theft Auto V's Los Santos is full of beautiful vistas, but what game isn't? I'm more impressed that, despite its do-anything, go-anywhere crime story about gangsters and thugs, the biggest series in gaming is comfortable being mundane."

Weird piece here, from the headline it would seem he didn't like it but he does

uhh Gta5 became the most boring game every once the main story was done.

Now that I think about it, GTA5 was extremely overrated.

Loved it for like 3-4 days, played online for a couple but it was missing that certain something that makes games great.

They spend the most money ever on one game and that is all we get for it?

Kind of pathetic.

It's great for that, but I went back to Just Cause 2 soon after GTA V's release. With multi-player on JC2 now, it's the most addicting game out there.

Wow handy info!! Played it on PS3 but just grabbed the JC2 bundle on steam for the mp:)

I always thought that was Skype.

The most aimless, ADD targeted game I've ever played. I guess I'm just finally GTA'd out. Used to be it was the only sandbox game around but now that there are so many (and so many more focused and more intriguing ones for that matter) I just don't find GTA as exciting anymore.

Interesting comment curtis92. After San Andreas I found GTA to be fairly boring with little depth, but having recently picked up GTA V, I'm really impressed with how much I like it (I didn't think I would to be honest). I think the characters are fleshed out nicely, the city feels alive, I love the jabs at pop culture, driving is more fun and the missions are diverse and over the top. Shooting aliens after getting high! Or pulling the tennis instructors house down! Yeah I'm barely into it but so far I think they've done a really great job and I look forward to playing more of it.

More interested in money than giving fans what they want. Such a shame

CrimsonWing691d 15h ago

With the amount of money they generated, I just don’t understand the scrubbing of this. It would’ve been fantastic for fans.

Profchaos1d 14h ago

I really want to know who drove the decision to focus on multiplayer was it Rockstar or take two.

Because when online started taking off many of the studio leads began having falling outs and leading including a founder

Ikr mfs that greedy it's ridiculous

andy851d 12h ago

This makes me sad. Trevor was one of my favourite characters in gaming

One of the reason I believe once gta 6 release, most of us thoroughly play it, enjoy the world they crafted then after that no offline support, no dlc at all
