10 Must Buy Wii U Releases in 2014

Iran White writes:

2013, at least for the first 2/3 of it was a rough one for many Wii U owners. For much of the year there just weren’t a whole lot of compelling games released for the console. However, 2014 looks as though it will be the absolute opposite of that. With releases of so many great games, you probably won’t be able to afford them all. Here are 5 Must Buy’s on Wii U in 2014

Project cars looks amazing. I trust that the Wii U version will be quite worthy.

cyguration3760d ago

It's confirmed native 720p so it wont' look any worse than the typical Xbone title. Plus it'll have all the latest shaders and graphical effects, so yeah, I'm excited for the game, too.

R00bot3760d ago

Did they confirm 720p? I must've missed that.
And yeah, they've been saying that the Wii U is powerful constantly, so it should look pretty good.

I bought 16 Wii u games last year, I hope for just as much this year :-)

strickers3760d ago

Nope. Still no reason to buy. Project Cars is coming to PS4/ XB1,isn't it? They'll be better versions.
Wii U is poor design, plain and simple.

RetardedIceCream3760d ago

that's why they listed 10 games and not just Project Cars

They're obviously trolling. Just click the + button to the right of their name, select ignore and enjoy the site with 1 less idiot trying to piss you / others off.

Just because someone may rather play it on another console doesn't make it any less of a must have for Wii U owners.

There will be a lot of PS4/Wii U and XBox One/Wii U comboing this generation. With a lot of PC sprinkled in as well. Everyone will balance it out accordingly.

But so that Wii U continues to get games like Project Cars, I personally will support them with a Wii U purchase, and probably on Steam as well so I can play around with settings. :D

Wow if your unimpressed about this list with only a fraction of all the wiiu games scheduled to release PLUS all the ones that are you, I'd hate to see you when it comes to the PS4/one. They have a small library most of which are current gen games or mediocre indie games (with a few that shine of course), and not too much announced for this year.

As much as I love my Ps4, I haven't really touched it since launch after playing Knack and Killzone a fair amount. Still a ton of games coming for the ps3 that I still want like Dark Souls 2 and others.

I'd say try harder troll but I feel like you did the best you could just then.

Bayonetta 2 and X oh baby I can't wait to play those games day 1 :D

Man, I feel I'm gonna go broke next year... and I hope I do. :)

Looking Ahead: The Lingering Questions About the Next Mario Kart

VGChartz's Mark Nielsen: "10 years. It’s been almost 10 years since the last mainline release in the Mario Kart series. Mario Kart 8 came out for the Wii U in 2014 and became the best-selling game for the system by a sizeable margin, and later pulled the same magic trick on the Nintendo Switch under the stage name Deluxe. All in all, it's sold nearly 70 million copies over the last decade and is still selling like hot cakes to this day, so it’s no wonder Nintendo has been in no rush to replace it. However, with rumors of a new system being just around the corner, and reports a few years back that a new Mario Kart is indeed under way, it seems the era of 8 might very well be drawing to a close. It’s an exciting prospect to be sure, but after two Nintendo systems with Mario Kart 8 at their heart, a lot of questions remain about how Nintendo will choose to follow it up."

I hope they just keep building on Mario Kart 8; Add a track-creation tool, and probably open it up to more Nintendo IPs with new tracks and characters, so Metroid, Punch Out, Starfox, Animal Crossing, etc etc.
