I've looked at what's on offer, of utter crap to buy games.

Its mostly bundles of indie games for a couple bucks then a real old tripple a game going for 20% off not really worth botgering with this crap.

spektical3768d ago (Edited 3768d ago )

yea pretty dissapointing sales. There has been a couple good ones. I snagged Prison Architect

planetary annihilation looks good too....

Kurylo3d3768d ago (Edited 3768d ago )

I don't know they had some good games on sale, its just that I own them all already. Tombraider 90% off... the new hitman for 4.99 ...

But yea im not seeing enough sales.. Im waiting for more 90% offs.. not 60

Last year everything was like 90% off... lol

I refuse to spend more then $15 on any game.

Rubberlegs3767d ago

The sales are pretty much the same compared to all the past Summer and Winter sales. Indie and older games usually get the higher discounts. Your not going to see many newer games going anything past 75% off.

Kurylo3d3763d ago

Always used to. Thats how i got my entire library of steam games. Most of them 4.99 lol

givemeshelter3768d ago

Some games are solid. Especially some of the games not listed in this sale.

3-4-53767d ago

really? Almost every game is on sale.

* Sins of solar rebellion for $19.99

* Company of Heroes 1 - $3.39

* Company of heroes 2 - $10-15

* Age of Empires 2 HD - $5

* Galactic Civ2 - $10

* Half Life 2 - $ 2.49

* Torchlight 2 - $10

Dude I could list 100 more easily that are good games worth playing.

* Total War: Rome 2 - $30

* To the Moon - $2.99

* LA Noire - $4.99

* Ys - Chronicles 1&2 - $ 3.74

*

The problem with the steam sale for me is that I already own most of the stuff on there and if i don't it's most likely because i think the price of it still doesn't justify buying it (take Planetary Annihilation for example).

MadLad3767d ago (Edited 3767d ago )

Same here.
I have a 300+ account and, really, the games I don't already own I am just waiting to be priced at a cost I feel they are worth.
I did still do pretty well this sale though. Grabbed a solid ten games or so.
Already beat Outlast and Gone Home. Both were fantastic experiences for me.

XCOM Enemy Within is 50% off also. Just purchased that right now. Was waiting for that one too.

L.A. Noire And Bully — Rockstar's Lost Gems That Deserve A Sequel As Much As GTA

Hanzala from eXputer: "I do appreciate GTA 6, Rockstar, but if I could trade it for a new L.A. Noire or a Bully game, I'd do so in a heartbeat."

Skuletor19d ago

How are they lost? You can get L.A. Noire on Steam, PS5, Xbox Series and Nintendo Switch and Bully is on the PS5 and Xbox Series too.

Psychonaut8519d ago

I want a new Manhunt game. But that will never happen.

Demetrius18d ago

Mfs are too sensitive nowadays and would cry instead of being concerned bout real world problems

Demetrius18d ago

Whenever gta 6 launch we won't be getting another rockstar title for another 10 years lol but on the positive side they bou to come back n show how open world supposed to be done 🔥

Skuletor18d ago

I won't expect any singleplayer DLC like IV's The Lost & Damned or The Ballad of Gay Tony after it launches either

12 Years Later, L.A. Noire is Still an Excellent Experience

There was a lot to love about Rockstar and Team Bondi's 2011 open world title.

One I never finished. I've been looking at the ps4 version off Amazon the last few months just never bit

Knightofelemia123d ago

It's worth playing LA Noire is one of my favorite Rockstar games. But I would also check out pawnshops or thrift stores if you want the game dirt cheap. Someone may have been dumb enough to dump the game.

Baffles me when people have these opinions about acclaimed games 😂

RhinoGamer88124d ago

100% agree... not perfect, but an engaging/refreshing experience.

sagapo124d ago

Agree, at time of release those facial expressions were amazing! They still hold strong even today imo.
The game on its own was good. Something fresh, but sidequests were a bit meh after a while.

Nacho_Z124d ago

I picked it up on sale recently, going to play it next summer. I'll get more out of it this time, first time around I treated the open world like it was GTA and goofed about, whereas now I'll play it with more respect. RDR2 has trained me well.

I also hadn't read Raymond Chandler at the time so presumably that'll add another layer of enjoyment too.

1nsomniac124d ago (Edited 124d ago )

Absolutely stunning game. So underrated. Played through it again last year and it still stands up so well. Like many of rockstars games it’s actually a far better experience on PC. I didn’t enjoy it as much on console. Completed it at least 3 times on pc.

The rumours of a sequel are awesome news despite the fact I think Rockstar are now the shell of the company they once were.

SyntheticForm123d ago

Team Bondi made a hell of a game.

XCOM: Enemy Unknown - A Welcome Rebirth

XCOM: Enemy Unknown rebooted the series back in 2012, and has since inspired numerous new strategy game series to be born.

shinoff2183179d ago (Edited 179d ago )

If someone gets into this I'd recommend getting the enemy within version. It's got all the dlc included so it's the better version. Wish the author would've atleast mentioned it. I didn't see it.

Fantastic game though. Xcom 2 is top notch also. I've spent countless hours in these games.

ModsDoBetter179d ago

Excellent game.
Played to death on PS3 years ago.

S2Killinit179d ago

What other games were inspired by this game?

JL2930178d ago

Gears Of War Tactics, Phoenix Point. Many others.

shinoff2183178d ago

Phoenix point if I remember was created by the original xcom developer or something to that affect. I did try gears tactics some months ago and I just couldn't get into it. It's probably just me

JL2930177d ago (Edited 177d ago )

It was, but it was really closer to the newer XCOM than the older ones. Gears Tactics was okay but was hard to get into knowing there probably wont be a sequel.
