(CriticalIndieGamer) 2013 has been a great year for both the Indie and AAA scene. Scores of great games, from studios big and small, have delighted us all these past 12 months, but it hasn’t all been great. Sometimes a game isn’t up to scratch; it doesn’t quite live up to the hype that preceded it. And sometimes they just downright suck. Here’s a few of Ryan’s most disappointing games of 2013.
The PS4 has a killer roster of incredible platformers. Ranging from simple 2D platformers to vibrant 3D platforming games.
No mention of Astrobot on the VR, one of the best platform titles Sony have put out
Guacamelee is an amazing Metroidvania series with a fun story and beautiful graphics. Check out Jason's Nindie Spotlight on this gem that highlights its unique art style and fantastic boss fights..
Dave writes: "If you’re a fan of walking simulators, then the name probably sticks in the throat, but let’s ‘own it’ and chuck the best and mightiest of the genre into a bear pit and let them have at it! Hoo-rah! As with most genre lists, there’s some controversy about what does or doesn’t constitute a walking simulator. Dialogue and navigation is preferred over puzzles and more intensive interaction like combat or QTEs. Jumping/crouching is positively frowned upon. Strap on your hiking boots and let’s ramble!"
We are all entitled our own opinion. I read your opinions and I must say, in my opinion, your opinions suck.
biggest disappointment = walking dead: survival instinct
could have been so great. how do you mess up something with such a simple concept? this game does it.
GTA Online
Guacamelee was fantastic on Vita. Also Gone Home is critically acclaimed. What is this?
Cube World..sure. I was disappointed due to the lack of updates, but this list is overall pretty terrible. These were all great games for what they were.
Did this person not play Aliens: Colonial Marines or Ride To Hell? Those were genuinely disappointing, terrible games.
