Most Anticipated Game of 2014

2013 was a good year for games and all, but 2014 is already looking much, much better! And Hidden Audio Log is here to prove that by announcing its most anticipated game of next year.

I love how titanfall is the thumbnail. One of if not my most anticipated shooter, well it and destiny. I hope both games get proper pc treatment and I hope destiny actually finds its way to pc.

Other than those quantum break for my xbox one infamous for ps4 and maybe sunset overdrive.

quantum break is a contender for game of the year for me - unique, intelligent and pure next gen, that and watch dogs, titanfall is up there but its ea and like bad company 2 to battlefield 4 will have online problems for at least a week

Oh and don't worry about Driveclub, it's the best looking next gen racer (sorry Forza =P)

For me its Infamous right now. People keep suggesting that Kingdom Hearts is coming out this year. If so I can't wait to play it. Defeating Sepiroth in KH3 is one of my goals in life. As far as concepts go, I find Quantum Break the most interesting because I want to see where the subjet matter goes. I wonder if it will delve into Quantum Physics.

Don't see the hype surrounding titanfall. Haven't played it yet but honestly looks like COD with mechs. Plus they are charging you $60 for a game with no single player. You can only play the same 10-15 maps so long and not get bored...

I agree. And what about player count? The devs said the "cloud" is great because of all the AI it can manage. Well that's sounds stupid as hell. I'm playing a MP game to play against multiple "players" not bots. And wow fucking jet packs! Sweet! And we've never had mechs in a game with people wearing jet packs at the same time. (Killzone 3)maybe? And at least those jet packs had turrets mounted on them. This game has so much artificial and forced hype it's sick.

Having managed to get two rounds in at PAX Prime this last summer, I can say there's absolutely nothing artificial or forced about the hype for this game. To call it simply COD with jetpacks is a complete disservice - it's more like a class-based FPS + Mechwarrior + Mirror's Edge (with the ability to jump higher). The cloud manages the additional AI that get added to (what were presented as) 5v5 matches, making the game seem like there was a much larger battle taking place - I have no idea if the player count will be any bigger than that for the final release. But please, do yourself a favor and reserve judgment until you've actually played it yourself, otherwise you just appear close-minded.

I wasn't keen on titanfall at all until having played it, now anticipating it's release on PC.

I might be wrong but there isn't AI in multiplayer games anyways. Unless there is like automated support drones or attack helicopters, which is pretty light AI anyways.

My thoughts exactly. You hit the nail on the head. Such crazy hype. If people have fun playing it... great, but I can't imagine it being that great. Personally, I prefer great single player, story driven games. Everyone else can keep they're multiplayer stuff. Keeps them out of my game.

Why is it okay for games to only have a single player but having only a multiplayer is not okay... Just look at KZSF, BF4 and CoD Ghosts, all abysmal campaigns that would of been better if they had focused on the MP. Hype is real for Titanfall and saying it's CoD with Mechs is such a complete disservice to the game.

You just used some examples of some games that had bad single player.

There are tons of games with incredible single player AND multiplayer. The fact that you can spend hours on an awesome single player campaign and then dig even more hours into the multiplayer just makes your purchase worth it.

Last of us, Uncharted, Gears of War etc, all examples of games with epic single player and multiplayer.

Edit - Also, the reason the games you listed had bad single player, is because the dev simple doesn't give a shit and they don't try hard enough to create a proper single player experience.

Of course there are some games that have both great single players and multiplayers, but how many military FPS games do you know in recent memory that have both great SP and MP? Only Halo comes to mind and honestly, Titanfall doesn't need one. Battlefield doesn't need one and I would of much preferred if they had only focused on the MP, so the damn game actually works.

Edit: The reason the developers don't care is because the people buying the game don't care for the SP in the game. It was shown that less than 5% of people even play the CoD campaign. It's a waste of time and resources for a game where 95% of people only play the MP.

It is CoD with Mechs. Why would you deny that ?. But I like it because the gameplay of call of duty we love is back not the crap activision make right now..

However, its not cool that ms bought the first game. This game could have destroyed call of duty in sales and quality. This game screams multiplatform .Hopefully ea stop with this bullshit soon.

Lets lok at the bright side. This game is made for last gen judging from its graphics and the size of the game. So when titanfall 2 come to the rest of the platform we will get a real next gen game :P

Dark souls 2, destiny, the order, infamous,witcher 3, dragon age 3, deep down. There's actually a lot I'm excited for. Maybe even the elder schrolls online, although I've never paid a monthly sub for a game before. Should be a great year.

Seriously though that is the next game I'm getting, never played it on PS3. I'll wait till some more games are announced for 2014 before I get to hyped up on one. Nothing right now has me counting down the days.
