Media Create published the latest hardware sales from Japan.

Wow the Wii U the little engine that could. So Nintendo has a bright outlook for themselves all they have to do is pull a 3ds keep pumping out 3ds type software levels. They need to avoid the drought and in the summer they can drop a game or two when nothing usually comes out they'll be fine.

MK8 in march or April
Zelda warriors game in may and a few others.

I can only see them getting better as time goes on.

Listen Smartass, Christmas is celebrated by people of the christian religion. The christian religion is a minority in Japan, so why should they celebrate christmas? Do you think they celebrate the birth of Jesus, even though they have a lot religions, mainly buddhist? Who is the dumb one? You are the ignorant one for actually believing what you just said. No, they do not celebrate christmas, their religion may have something to celebrate sometime around the same time as christmas, that is all.

Actually, they DO celebrate the holiday, though it's generally more for couples than anything.

But they DO buy gifts for each other, and there's also the gift money they get at our around new years, as well as people working little odd jobs for extra cash around this time.

Nintendo is beating all the competition. The PS3 had two high profile games in Gundam and Drakengard 3 launch and sales barely went up.

The PS3 is cheap in Japan, has a bunch of great games, it should be selling FAR better than it is in Japan, but its not.

Wii U is just getting started like Shuhei Yoshida said. Mario Kart 8 and Smash Bros are going to utterly destroy the charts when they are released.

And some people celebrate X-Mas in Japan, or at least gift giving for the holidays.

yeah, smash 3ds is a dumb move in my opinion. it was always a big system seller and if the 40 million 3ds' out there can enjoy it on the go, who would want to buy a wii u for it?

Why damage control? Did I say something bad, I am happy for Nintendo and think it is a great achievement, because they never sold 100k a week in one country alone. I am pro Wii U, I dont get the hate I received for my comments, like I said something against the Wii U. I would understand that from haters of the other plattforms, but you told me, how great the Wii U does and disagree with me, even though I said the same thing... Releasing Smash Bros on both systems was a great idea. Many people will buy both. And there is enough of a difference in graphics to justify the getting both.

The Wii U version will have more online options different characters, ect.

Its not like PlayStation All stars where its basically the same game between the Vita and PS3

This is off topic but wiiu would be so boss if it had Xboxone's feature to connect system's so you can play them via Wiiu. Imagine hooking up your PC to wiiu, you would have free offscreen play for any pc game. Just hook your gamepad up to your PC as a controller with a mod, That would be amazing.

Good job Nintendo especially with the Wii U. It wasn't that long ago that sales dipped below 4,000 for the Wii U one week in Japan. Nows its been outselling all but the 3DS LL for the last few of weeks.
