Best Fighting Game of 2013–Injustice: Gods Among Us

JPS Writes: "Following up on the fantastic Mortal Kombat 9, Netherrealm decided to once again take on the DC Universe. However, this time it was not a crossover game but rather a standalone game titled Injustice: Gods Among Us, which received its own companion comic series. As with the new Mortal Kombat, Ed Boon and Netherrealm worked to craft a compelling story mode that is great for both fans of DC Comics and just fighting games in general. Injustice: Gods Among Us surprised us all with a two earths concept in the game that was not hinted at prior to release, where one has Superman killing the Joker after being fooled into killing Lois and their unborn child."

Aquapazza deserved it more IMO

No offense to Injustice but really, there wasn't many fighting games released last year. Injustice had a LOT of value in it's package though and deserves fighting game of the year no doubt. I stopped playing though when Scorpion was released.. that character was so broken it took all the fun out of the game for me.

I dislike awards that can't even give you a list of the other nominees .

Injustice just get it with the low amount of fighting games released alongside it , that's all . it was either that or DOA+ and aquapazza i guess . The much better imo Persona 4 arena was a 2013 release but only for europe

Injustice was good, but imo, DOA5U and P4A were miles better.
P4A was ruined becuase of the auto combo thingy, it destroyed the potential of a good online community. Everybody goes with Aigis and Naoto, not to mention the terrible netcode. Auto-combo should be like a super finisher that is activated once a match.
DOA5U was much better than DOA5 vanilla/

auto combo wasnt an issue . It's one of the most flawed and easy to break combo usually . It's a clutch that becomes fairly useless once you get ahead in skills and level . You lose oki & damage by doing an auto combo. The only thing you get is good burst regen and meter. And it's easy to punish spammers as it leaves you open

It didnt destroy squat . The major issue was the fragmentation of the market , with an eu version released nearly one year later . Even then the community is fine , and alive . No one should expect the curious bystanders that love only the anime or the rpg , to stick around .

The netcode was only an issue on 360 before the patches .. wasnt the best on ps3 either , but still ok .

Net code compared to TTT2 is pretty rubbish.
Aigis spam is annoying, i usualy combat it with a bolt from Izanagi. Elizabeth spammers are the worst though.

I can barely play player matches due to dead lobbies and people kicking me b4 even anything. I get 1 signal on it while on tekken and DOA i get 4 signals easily. Although, the game is really good.

You are comparing it to one of , if not the absolute best thus far for the generation .

Sorry to hear you have issues , i dont , and the general consensus is that it's actually decent online .

As for spam , well i still dont see it as an auto combo specific issue . It's the nature of online fighting games imo , you swift through an endless sea of spammer whatever the games , chars and moves
