JPS Writes: "Following up on the fantastic Mortal Kombat 9, Netherrealm decided to once again take on the DC Universe. However, this time it was not a crossover game but rather a standalone game titled Injustice: Gods Among Us, which received its own companion comic series. As with the new Mortal Kombat, Ed Boon and Netherrealm worked to craft a compelling story mode that is great for both fans of DC Comics and just fighting games in general. Injustice: Gods Among Us surprised us all with a two earths concept in the game that was not hinted at prior to release, where one has Superman killing the Joker after being fooled into killing Lois and their unborn child."
Injustice: Gods Among Us launched 10 years ago today, birthing a brand new fighting game franchise from NetherRealm Studios.
Injustice turns ten years old today, so let's look back at why it matters
10 years on from the original release of Injustice: Gods Among Us, NetherRealm's other fighting game deserves recognition.
Aquapazza deserved it more IMO
No offense to Injustice but really, there wasn't many fighting games released last year. Injustice had a LOT of value in it's package though and deserves fighting game of the year no doubt. I stopped playing though when Scorpion was released.. that character was so broken it took all the fun out of the game for me.
I dislike awards that can't even give you a list of the other nominees .
Injustice just get it with the low amount of fighting games released alongside it , that's all . it was either that or DOA+ and aquapazza i guess . The much better imo Persona 4 arena was a 2013 release but only for europe
