The highest highs and lowest lows.

IGN didn't review Ride to Hell for some reason, so this list is already losing some credibility.

_QQ_3779d ago

No surprise that the best reviewed part is dominated by Nintendo.

I_am_Batman3779d ago

The only thing that's kinda weird in my opinion is that they seem to support the 3DS with much more games than the Wii-U. Nintendo never had problems with the quality of their first party lineup. It would be great If they can keep up the quality and increase the percentage of Wii-U titles compared to 3DS.

SpiralTear3779d ago

I agree. It's kind of weird that the 3DS, a system that has proven itself already, is still getting a huge amount of fantastic games. I really love the 3DS support, but I would be more impressed if more games of this caliber were pushed for Wii U a bit more.

2014 will hopefully be the year for that.

And one of the two games to get a 10/10, AKA a masterpiece, was a Sony game =).

_QQ_3779d ago

Yup they all Deserve a spot on the list, expect IGN gave DOTA 2 a 9.5 and it wasn't included ;(

Troll mode engaged:

Yet the two highest weren't by Nintendo!

Troll mode disengaged.

How am i Trolling? Don't be so insecure.Sony and Nintendo are both great and every game deserves to be on the list. If i commented TLOU only 10/10 exclusive i bet you wouldn't call me troll...i'm simply praising a company that i like.

Beastforlifenoob3779d ago

IGN gives Nintendo a free pass.

They complained about COD ghosts and said it should retire because there have been too many in the sieres. then mario comes along and nothing happens they give it 10/10..

ALSO WHY THE FLOPPY BELLY DID IGN LIST A HD REMAKE

deafdani3779d ago (Edited 3779d ago )

Because you're wrong. Mario 3D World shakes things up in many ways when compared to the Galaxy games, amd , most importantly, it's a ridiculously polished game that provides a insane amount of fun, so people don't get tired of them.

Also, Nintendo usually doesn't release their games on a yearly basis, unlike Call of Duty. That's also one of the reasons people get tired already with COD, because of franchise fatigue, something Activision specializes in (see Tony Hawk and Guitar Hero).

Basically, you are comparing apples to elephants here.

6 of the 11 best games reviewed on IGN were Nintendo games. After all these years Nintendo are still a top tier video game developer.

JohnnyTower3779d ago

Now of they could get their PR back in tune they would be in fine form.

Beastforlifenoob3779d ago

Intresting... If its sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good then how come the WII U is selling worse then the gamecube by a mile? I mean it is truly great is'nt it

deafdani3779d ago

Sales don't necessarily reflect on a product's quality. Take off your hater glasses.

Gaming has been great. The industry however has been taking hits here and there. Nintendo is prepping for next gen, Sony has no first party, and mcsft has...who knows? I guess that's why it seems like gaming is in a rut for some. 3rd party and indies has been amazing though.

Personally I'm enjoying the sh out of gaming these last few years. All these great games, it takes me back to snes ps1 days where there was so much variety. In all my gaming years I think the ps3/360 was the worst of it. It was first person shooter after first person shooter, variety went out the window because that's when development really started rising for most devs even indies. I think all 3 console makers have done well with helping indies out lately to an extent. The variety started coming back during ps4 Era and now it's full blown. I just picked up eiyuden 100 heroes and man this sh takes me back. An actual jrpg releasing these day. I thought it was the end after only like 10 of them released for ps3 and 360(not literally but it was slim pickings)

gold_drake4h ago

we had a few hits this year alreadyz so im not sure where this "gaming is in trouble" comes from lol

and theres still alot more to come
