That would be fine in simply "Game of the Generation" which could take popularity, influence, quality, etc into account, but since you specifically state "Best Game of the Generation", no way is COD ahead of the likes of Mass Effect, Uncharted, Red Dead Redemption, GTA, Bioshock and Fallout 3.

TLOU is a deserved winner though.

COD4 was an amazing game. Many people forget how good it was because the series has been milked so much.

Modern Warfare, for better or worse, influenced the industry in such a massive way that we're still getting the aftershock. Battlefield 2 introduced many of those aspects before MW, but MW gets the credit. Also, it was pretty freakin' awesome. The campaign and the multi-player were top-notch!

I'd say just because of the influence it had on the generation that COD 4 probably deserves the top spot.

TLOU is still riding at the fore of our memories but I don't think it will have the same lasting impact as COD 4.

My personal game of the generation is either Deus Ex Human Revolution or Mass Effect 2.

Pls I'm not a hater but can someone tell what tlou has brought to this gen to revolutionise it. Its just pretty. Winner should be between mass effect gears of war uncharted 2 or cod modern warfare.

Personally.. I think its overated. Its just a slower paced fps with power. Infinite did blow my mind tho. Well the ending and the whole nolan twist.
