Metal Gear Solid V is schedule to releases spring 2014 on both the PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The game is broken into two different parts, a prequel and the full game. Konami has planned a unique release for the game. The publishing plan breaks the game into two peaces, each of which will release at different times. Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes is the prequel to Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, and will release first.
Whether it's showcasing damage realistically or simulating fractures and conditions, these games are worth checking out.
The Metal Gear series has sold 60.2 million copies, as of September 2023.
...and yet, they couldn't give more respect and effort into the collection.
What a terrible company.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is another rollercoaster of a game in the Metal Gear Solid series. Here's what to expect and why you need to experience it.
Amazing how bad this game looks already. We keep acting like this gen doesn't feel like an update but I think we're starting to see it.
The game started really strong in that hospital, but after a couple of hours I wondered if it was even an mgs game I was playing.
so it is getting a physical release just not for the next gen systems?
I dont like how the prologue has to be separate from the full game.
I don't mind the prologue. This means we can play next gen MGS in a few months compared to having to wait till like Spring 2015 if they released it all together.
Kojima was saying how Phantom Pain is 300 times larger than the world in Ground Zeroes, so that is going to take time, and having GZ in the meantime helps.
will PS4 get 1080p version and Xbone 720p?
At the Xbone launch, there was an "exclusive content" on MGSV:GZ. So, Kojima took moneyz from both Sony and Microsoft. Dat balance.
Any other games that had exclusive contents on both consoles? Only other game(s) I can think of are the Soul Calibur series (SCII - Link on GameCube, Heihachi on PS2, Spawn on Xbox / SCIV - Darth Vader on PS3, Yoda on Xbox 360... Well, until they were both made as DLC on both consoles)
