Infamous: Second Son Is as Much Fun to Play as It Is to Watch

By Greg Miller: "Since seeing Infamous: Second Son at E3, I’ve walked around telling people how impressed I was with how it looked -- the way Delsin’s jean vest fluttered in the wind, the particles when he divebombed the baddies, and so on. Today, I played Infamous: Second Son, and now, I’m going to walk around telling people how impressed I am with how it feels."

This game is a must have for me I loved the first two and this one seems to be even more amazing, plus its set in Seattle...can't wait to walk around and be like I've been here and here and there. Hopefully when ever I'm on Broadway sir mix a lot can be on bumping posses on broadway

Just my own opinion here but I like the fact that the protagonist is not the usual white guy with a buzz gut who is all moody. Not that there is anything wrong with that archetype but we've seen it a gazillion times in gaming.

They need to use a black guy w/ a fade and a goatee, trying to put himself through business school in the evenings, while running a drug empire for his incarcerated best friend. Set the game in Baltimore, have a DUP division ran by a drunken Irishman named McNulty and his sassy adulterous friend Bunk Moreland, then watch the sparks fly. Infamous: Greatest Show Ever.

Cant wait to play this game. All the powers just seem so badass compared to other super hero games. This & The Order are a must buy & of course Uncharted 4. The wait is killing me.

InFamous is easily my favorite superhero game. This looks like the best yet. The destruction makes the Ps3 games look sterile by comparison.

ltachiUchiha3799d ago

Totally agree mate. Everything about Infamous SS just screams out Next Gen to me especially for an open world game with all the destructable environments & those particle effects when u see the newspaper stands getting destroyed, that was amazing in my eyes.

Fast forward to 0:50 and look at the gameplay on this video

http://www.youtube.com/watc...

The way he high jumps using the car and then comes crashing down on the enemy. Oh my god this game is incredible. The variation in gameplay is ridiculous, you can take on the missions in so many different ways because of the open world and multiple powers.

I am waiting to get a PS4 when that inFAMOUS bundle comes out. That baby will be MINE!

Sevir3799d ago

That high jump off car feature is reskinned from Infamous 1 and 2! Cole had it and it was a means of getting around quick in the first infamous...

I'm excited for the game, as infamous is one of my fav new IPs from the previous generation! :)

Riderz13373799d ago

Yes I know it was in inFAMOUS 2 but it just looks so much better with those smoke particle effects!

I've platinumed inFAMOUS 2 and have like 95% trophy's done in inFAMOUS 1 =P

100%, locked 60fps and still look great all these years later, same with the expansion, definitely worth a look if people haven't played it yet, not the best games ever made but a good experience, hopefully a new infamous gets released

KwietStorm_BLM97d ago

Never was my favorite infamous, but it was definitely a graphics showcase early on PS4. Still plays well with the unlocked frame rate.

SDuck96d ago

Still remember getting hyped about this game nearing release. Funny because I never even got a PS4. Jumped from PS3 to PC so I never played it ahahaha

OmegaSoldati96d ago

Its a good game. But thats it. Congratulations you made the best choice. I dream to have a great PC one day.

Profchaos97d ago (Edited 97d ago )

Graphically It's a absolutely stunning game that still holds up today.

Didn't have all that much depth to it forcing you to play though twice for a platinum trophy a good and bad run it was a little disappointing how similar those were Delsin would be like I'm not doing that for you in a cutscene but the cutscene would play out and force you to do it anyway just as you would of in a good run

I did like the story however it got a lot of complaints back in the day people hated playing as Delsin instead of cole despite Coles story being wrapped up.

Overall though the map wasn't overly saturated with useless points of interest there was some collectibles and things to find but nothing compared to a Ubisoft game.

I think it was a good game if a little hollow I've played it through around 4 times now since it's so short.

Also it's DLC was great a full story expansion

I've played 15, and I wouldn't consider any of those underrated TBH. Some of them are pretty high rated.

banger88128d ago

That's amazing, Gamingbolt actually put all 15 games on the same page.

shinoff2183127d ago

I. Not seeing anything on that list underrated. I never played concrete genie, the ASTRO vr,and one other but I forgot the name already. Nothing on there was underrated at all imo.

persona4chie127d ago

There’s only 4 of those games I never played, and no most of those aren’t underrated.
