RUMOR: GameStop getting more PS4's for Black Friday

As it stands it seems that even though companies like GameStop ended up having extra PS4 consoles for day one sales that they still sold out. now the word on the street is that no one will have anymore until January.

I know the GS in my area won't get any new shipments until they have sold the stock they had on day one which is most likely gone by now xD.

My local walmart is getting their next shipment of PS4s on the 22nd so if they hold on to them they'll have them ready for black friday but seeing as the electronics guys are telling everyone that that's when they'll be in it's likely that those will get sold out before black friday too. If they get a third shipment on friday it'll be useless for the sale day as they don't unload their trucks on black friday.

I'm actually surprised how many ps4's have gone on eBay, over 3000 so far. Are people buying to sell or are they just unhappy with their purchase.

thats a small amount if you think about it but I'm sure those are the ppl that buy new tech when it comes out to put it up for sell for profit

It happens all the time. People do it to gain a profit because getting a PS4 maybe difficult and so a higher price can used (sadly a standard practice) . Also some business solely work on ebay

What does it matter if they are? It just means people want it so bad they're willing to pay way over what they're worth to get one.

If they do it's because of the canceled preorders due to the hardware failures of the system

If people have cancelled pre-orders due to a below-average failure rate then the fanbase is probably better off. I worked returns on xbox, 360, gamecube, psp and other launches here in UK and, quite frankly, it's a fact of life in consumer electronics.

Sofar it has been a pretty smooth launch for PS4 for Sony. A big contrast to the craziness that was the PS3 launch.

It would be smart of Sony to have a bunch of inventory released and in stores by next Friday. I hear that there is some other console launching that day! ;)

The consoles will be available. It would be suicide to have the Xbox one coming out, and not have any PS4's in the stores.
