One of those quotes will hush the people who have been claiming the PS4 is prone to overheating. Like it was ever an issue......you put anything in a glass/plastic case with no ventilation, its going to get hot (you don't say!). But i guess people need something negative about the PS4 to cling to.

Both consoles will be fine as long as they are kept in a well ventilated place. Only stupid people will have overheating issues. Both seem to be well designed to prevent overheating based on what we have been told and seen so far.

It's very simple. If you set the PS4 in a place with no breathing space, it's not gonna hold up. Same goes for the XBP.

Actually the ps4 has a much much greater chance at over heating.
Here's why.
It was designed for cooling 4 gigs of gddr5 and not 8, fhen wben upped last minute , well that increased heating by almost 100%.

I thinks its an issue tbey will soon fix though.

Almost all remotes use ir. So no they will not work. Now a blue tooth remote is a possibility.

I really hope that they do support PS3. I mean I hope that some of their upcoming first party studios come to both PS3 and PS4. But I think that this support will come from third party like COD and all of EAs recycled games. Its better than nothing but I just hope Sony brings their big games to both PlayStations and the Vita. I doubt it though because games like The Order being PS4 only and recent news that all their studios on working on PS4 games makes me doubt that Sony will support PS3.

FantasmA don't worry about Sonys' support for PS3, they have already had as many first party PS3 exclusives this year then 360 has had this year and last combined. TLOU, Puppeteer, GOW Ascension, Beyound Two Souls, a new Rachet and Clank upcoming as well as GT. All 360 has had is a bad and short Gears game and an upcoming reskin of Fable.

I think proof is in the pudding and PS3 has had alot of jello this year alone.

Yes I know 2013 was a great year, but we've known about Last of Us, GOW, and Beyond for a few years at least. I don't recall any of their first party studios announcing anything for PS3 recently, other than GT6 which is out in less than a month.

I'm not being negative, so you guys can stop downvoting me. The same goes for the Vita, after Borderlands 2, there hasn't been any other big game announced for it. I know my PS4 will be getting some love, but I still would like to see the PS3 and Vita get supported for those other gamers who are waiting on the PS4.

Any electronic device with internal fans and breather ports needs some sort of air circulation and not closed in airtight places, closing any device like a pc tower or a console in places were not much air circulates will no doubt cause the device to overheat.

On the contrary, when Sony knows there are many people that will want to listen to their own music collection and custom soundtracks during gameplay, but choose to eliminate that option and offer a subscription based service instead, I don't know what else you'd call that but holding someone's arm behind their back since there are no other options.

....which means absolutely nothing. There's no guarantee those features will ever come to the system.

Perhaps if you took off your "Sony apologist" glasses and read it again you would understand there is no guarantee or promise of this ever happening.

No issue here, if you read further down the article was updated that the PS4 was put in a box, lol, any console is going to overheat if the hot air can't be cleared out.
