You're right. They don't make a game good. But they do make the presentation, the clarity/fidelity, and overall feel of the game better.

If I am going to play a game that is available on more than one source I am going to play on the platform that has the best graphics, the highest FPS, the best options, and the best control input method. (or at least the best platform available to me, I understand not everyone can or wants to afford a high end gaming PC)

So no. It doesn't make it good. But it does make it better.

The Last of Us was 720 at 30fps. It was an incredible game, that looked amazing. No one cared that it wasn't 1080 60fps. The resolution overshadowing the game is a tumor on gaming that needs to go away quick.

I'm not saying that I wouldn't want 1080p 60fps, but a game not having it, doesn't change the way I look at that said game.

Off Topic: To be completely honest, this 720-900-1080 debacle hasn't affected me in the slightest. My Pc monitor is a 34" television (1368x768) that I use for my console/tv/pc.

Titanfall is the most praised FPS revealed so far this year(even more so than Destiny). **** Killzone, **** battlefield, **** cod(Especially Cod). Titanfall will dominated the multiplayer versus FPS games. I believe Destiny will be a superior game, however it's more of a co op game, not a versus game.

I will be playing it on my 360, I don't give a **** about graphics when a game with this good gameplay comes out.

Also, graphics matter, they are simply not the most important part of gaming. Ever. Titanfall exceeds standards graphical levels for 2013 and nothing more. I like when good graphics are there. If they are average graphics then I don't care about them. Great graphics are merely a bonus. FPS is vastly more important than having 'GREAT' graphics.

Edit - please it was hardly shocking. Anyone who agree's is just as guilty of thinking titanfall being 720p means you should wait for Titanfall 2

Yeah I loved jumping from wall to wall and up on buildings in Cod. That was very fun.

Uncharted fans site the use of height and climbing as a bonus for the game over Gears, I happen to agree with them, adding vertical mechanics to a game is good. Titanfall is taking that to the maximum level with the varying vantage points and hoping around the map.

I haven't seen one preview where the player wasn't ecstatic about how great the game is. I don't even care about the Titans, I care about how well Respawn have done the movement.

@ destrania, true just my opinion but damn I loves me some bf4. I did have fun with kz3 multiplayer for a while. I just didn't care for a lot of the maps and crappy spawn camping. Bf3 was really bad for base killing though.

BF4 is very good but not perfect IMO. At the end of the day it all depends on personal taste. I like tactical and semi-hardcore gameplay, that's why I prefer BF4. Some people are fond of Killzone type shooters. Others like CoD. That's just how it is.

You can do way more in BF4 than any other FPS right now. I think it's the best military FPS. I played Killzone online more this gen. For me KZSF will probably be my go to FPS. At the end of the day it's all about opinion. Enjoy what you like.

For multiplayer shooters BF is unmatched. I don't care for Singleplayer in shooters it's just boring u run out shooting AI wow great. Only Halo 1 & 3 made it right.

Crysis has the best single player.

COD is still the best at co-op play and accessibility.

Battlefield has the best production values and team emphasis.

I think Gears of war had the best single player experience and online experience. I think a minority of people disliked it because this game required some skill to play. You couldn't just pick it up and destroy everyone on it.

Even the storytelling from Gears 1 was amazing. Just watch this video proves my point. Its dated now in terms of graphics afterall it was the first gears.

DICE are a bunch of clowns. BF4 is OK but it's nothing ground braking. It's basically just BF3 with "Battle Packs" and a few new maps. BF4 itself should have just been BF3 DLC. It's sad Battlefield is going in this direction...
