You fail to appreciate the casuals for what they mean to this industry. Call of duty is the gateway drug. "Casuals" will buy a console and pick up Call of Duty because that's the game everyone's always talking about. Eventually some of them will get burnt out. The "high" never feels quite as good year after year, so they branch out and start playing more games. All of a sudden they realize what they've been missing all these years! The beautiful graphics... the epic storylines. Next thing you know they're on these forums laughing at the most recent call of duty to hit the shelves but the cycle continues... I think the maps are garbage. It's a 6 vs 6 game and they make maps like the stone castle map like a kilometer long. You run, run and run and can't find someone usually. Oh yeah and then the spawn system is completely broken. I can't even say how many times I've spawned, taken 1 step and then got shot. Seriously Activision releases COD every year but they can't even get the spawns right or make a map that compliments how many players are in the game.

COD is known for being a fast paced game which is good for running and gunning. But the maps in Ghosts are way to big to have any fast paced fun. It's like they tried to appeal to Battlefield fans in terms of map size but forgot something. Battlefield hasva lot morebpeople in there games.

Spawn is broken, I've spawned and been spawned on top of in Stonehaven. Thats really unacceptable; the "biggest COD map evah" and I spawn right next to an enemy, or right in one's LOS.

I have played every CoD since CoD1. At this point, I don't need to play Ghosts in order to know what I would get out of it.

It may be said all the time, but there are very few differences between the new iterations in the series now-a-days. Yes, there are the few new game modes and minor multiplayer elements that they add/change every year, but that's about it.

The maps are good but not enough players are in thenmatches. But with big maps like they made need more players in it. I've bplayed MW3 and COD BLOPS 2. They had good size maps for 6 vs 6. But in COD Ghosts the maps like the stone castle which is a kilometer long or flooded is a pretty big map. You can run, run and run but it's so big good luck finding the others.

My complaint with thevmaps are 2 things. COD is known for fast paced fun. With huge maps with only 6 vs 6 it slows down the action a ton. My second thing is the spawning system. I've spawned so many times only to take 2 steps to be shot already.

They need to make maps that compliments how many players are on the map so they can keep fast fun play and fix the spawning system.

I like ghosts multiplayer to be honest. The guns shoot better and the maps are bigger and better designed. There are a few things I don't like though. There are too many dogs running around. But people complained at first that Black Ops 2 sucked until they got used to it. Give it some time.

The only thing with bigger maps is you need more players. I buy COD for fast paced fun. But in most of the maps tyey are so big there is no fast paced fun. It's like they tried to appeal to Battlefield players by making bigger maps, took out the vehicles but they forgot about how many players are on there team. I look at mw3 and cod blops 2 the maps are smaller and more linear. But for 6 vs 6 that works really well. You funnel everyone to 1 area and it made it fastvpaced. You spread everything out it dilutes the action. You spread it out but add more players would keep action the same as long as they add enough players. I prestiged 51 times in mw3 with my 3 accounts and have 94,000 kills in cod blops 2. I love the action hut I'm highly disappointed with COD Ghosts.

I have been thoroughly enjoying it as well. Maps are fun. Since I can't buy bf4 on my wii u I love the big maps. Nice change of pace. People here just enjoy complaining more than playing video games. I will admit it took me a couple days. I was skeptical. But once I adjusted I realized many hours would be spent here with plenty of enjoyment. Not a bad game at all. In between this and wii sports club I'm all set till 3d world. But then again I do approach games with an open mind and give them a fair shot. And am not picky when it comes to fps. But why would I be its just a fps. Was tired of Bo2 maps. They gave me new maps. I'm a happy camper because my expectations were realistic.

User scores? Um, you do realize that user scores are WAAAYYYY less legitimate than journalist scores right. More than half of the user scores are usually from people who haven't even bought or played the game. In fact, more than half of the user scores are from accounts that were recently made and/or rated battlefield 4 a 10 out of 10. But of course, look at these articulate well constructed user scores.

People are saying the game is bad and they re-used scenes from older games. Which implies they got lazy or were spread too thin over all the platforms they were making the game for. Which could also imply they didnt put as much effort making the game run at 1080p for the XBO like they said they did (of course they would say that). And yes sony people that would imply its easier right now for IW to make high res games for PS4. All reviews are subjective to a point, but I used metacritic to highlight just how negative the reaction has been so far. Sure, some of it is BF4 fanboys piling on but if you read the comments a lot of them are from COD fans who are dissatisfied with the game.

I agree user scores aren't completely reliable, but when you have close to 2k "0" ratings on a supposed AAA-grand slam game within a few days of its release there's definitely a problem.

MW3 PC has a 2.3 on 5340 user ratings.

Black Ops 2 PC has a 3.6 on 1220 user ratings on metacritic.

Ghosts PC has a 1.7 on 1232 user ratings.

So even if "this happens on Metacritic for EVERY CoD" this time around it's worse than before. So either this faceless army of CoD hating trolls is getting more organized or maybe, just maybe, CoD: Ghosts is worse than its predecessors. I'm not saying metacritic is perfect by any means but you can't pretend that it doesn't reflect SOME of the feelings fans have toward the game.

Look people, Infinity Ward doesn't care. They don't care if you hate the game, they don't care if you think the spawn is **** (which they are) they don't care if you hate squads points, dogs, camping, weapon damage, and all the things suck in this game. Do you really think posting your opinions on their forums is gonna fix the game? NO! God Dammit guys they don't give a flying ****, but you wanna know want they do care about, is MONEY!!! money money and more money. Thats all that matters to them and guess what, they get a **** ton of it from call of duty fans like us. Their marketing is good and it fools the best of us me included. Now that Call of Duty is a brand name thanks to their previous quality Cods, they are now able to copy and paste every call of duty with little to no useful new innovations and still get paid 100s of millions of dollars every single year.
Im telling you guys that you can complain all day, every day, on their forums or on others, but face it they don't really care. All that matters is you paid them the $60 for a game that they know is unfinished and has been barely developed from previously Cods. Infinity Ward and Activision acts like they care and try to fix the biggest issues, but thats only to keep you on the game long enough so that you drop more $$ for their stupid map packs, and with exceptional marketing they will deceive us again so that we fork over more money to add to their fortune.
If we actually want Call of Duty to get their rich asses into shape and produce a game thats worth $60, then we need to do something other than complain on forums. We need to do something that they actually care about and will take notice to, and that is Money. Since we already purchased the stupid game this year the only thing we can do now is not purchase the map packs. That will get some attention from them but might not be enough. So next year when their next Cod is released, we will not buckle under their marketing and tricks they have been doing for years, but we'll stand strong and not open our wallets for their half assed game. Lets send a message that will hit them in the heart, that we no longer except games that are no good. Lets start something, and actually fix the problem. Writing on forums does not work with these guys and won't fix nothing. If you actually want to have change then help me spread my message to the world and Let Activision know, Let Treyarch know, and Let Infinity Ward know that we no LONGER WANT NOR WISH FOR UNFINISHED MUNDANE CALL OF DUTYS!
