FIFA14 Interview: “Art Imitates Life”

OXCGN:

With FIFA14 already released on the Xbox 360 and PS3 and being limited with the hardware, FIFA14 on PS4 and the Xbox One needed something different. Something drastic to help it break away from the problems that has plagued the game for so long, sloppy AI, legacy problems and many others.

We had the chance to chat with Peter Trenouth Producer at EA Vancouver, at a FIFA14 event that EA Australia held a few weeks back where I believe I spent roughly 5 hours standing competing against Junglist for supremacy.

If you’re interested to see how the game has been improved with a new engine and where it looks to continue to bring more realistic attributes to it, then read on.

i decided 4 years ago that i will only pay for another ea-fifa-tile every 5 years. i guess next year will be my turn again.

if only people would act a little bit more like they cared what developpers developped. i wish people would be a LITTLE wee bit more demanding when it comes to quality. Developpers would be forced to devliver quality. But with the behavior of people - buying everything every year as soon as the marketing for the next round starts - do you know pawlow's dog by the way? - there is no chance that a) EA will be forced to get less greedy and b) developpers will be actually developping again and not just level-editing and rehashing-of-old-engines.

people, please: think! just a little bit further. the industry's standard could be so much higher.

"Art imitates life" used in an interview on Fifa 14 almost makes me want to throw up in my mouth. This is the worst fifa I've personally bought this generation and EA don't seem to care about fixing the problems. Headers on this game are like magnetized to the corner of the goals.

Not all outdated football games are worthless

Games Asylum: "Outdated football games are a common sight when scouring jumble sales, car boots and charity shops for bargain price video games. Often they end up in bargain bins, sitting alongside unwanted celebrity fitness DVDs and seemingly random TV show box sets. But here’s the thing. Not all football games gathering dust in the likes of Oxfam are in fact worthless."
