DC Universe Online on PS4: Your Questions Answered

By Jens Andersen: "Hello, everyone. My name is Jens Andersen, aka @Spytle, and I’m the Senior Creative Director on DC Universe Online. When PlayStation first put a callout for DCUO PS4 questions on Twitter, I was excited to see them roll in; it was hard to keep myself from answering them right away, but I managed to restrain myself"

First of all, players will see the amazing power of PS4 popping off the screen thanks to the art enhancements we made to the PS3 assets. The game looks and runs amazingly smooth — performance has really improved. We’re targeting 1080p at 60 frames per second. nice another to the list.

i might give this a try again on ps4.

I would like DCUO to go PS4 only and abandon the crapstatic PS3 512 MB limitation. That would do wonders for this MMO potential in terms of zones, animations and game design. Along that line it would also be nice to allow cross platform play and unite the PC and console community. With the PS4 nextgen capabilities there is no longer any reason to keep the two communities separated.

Some sort of PS Eye integration would be nice too. I wouldn't mind some sort of voice or motion control to navigate the various social features and settings.

If that happens then tons of players would be unable to play and you would have very little fun due to the lack of people for raids and such. Your league would be low on members. Lots of issues.

And eventually, this would kill the game altogether.

MMOs In 2021 Retrospective: Console Edition

WTMG's Thomas Medina: "As far as I’m concerned, console MMOs have always been in a weird place. PC is where the main game is most popular. MMOs were born there, work best there, and have the vast majority of titles. Mobile is then next in line, with touchscreens and portability that adds something new while functioning well. Console gaming, on the other hand, is not portable (for the most part). Plus, it uses a controller, which is not the best instrument when your control scheme requires a thousand buttons and a cursor. That being said, there is an audience, and where there’s money to be made, publishers find a way. So here we are with some of the biggest console MMO games and how I feel they handled 2021. "

Best Superhero Video Games Available Right Now

From Xfire: "A lot of video games are designed to make players feel like a superhero. However, very few actually feature superheroes or have players take on the role of a superhero. What makes this even worse is that there are even fewer superhero video games that can be considered good."
