Its funny devs need to state the resolution now.

The bigger resolution number is in front of the title is better. But the lower number everyone loses their pants.

The majority of people behave like that about resolution because people felt like Microsoft was attempting to cover up the truth, yet again. Had Microsoft just acknowledge the resolutions of CoD and BF4 people would not have been anywhere near as upset over the issue. Instead of Microsoft treating the resolution thing like a none issue and just being honest, they played word games with people who are clearly smart enough to read between the lines.

Look at Sony and the DLNA and mp3 issue. Sony came right out and said how it was, people naturally complained about this issues and now it looks like Sony is going to reverse their stance on this issue http://www.playstationlifes... I think there are many on N4G who are in the mindset that no game on the Xbox One will run at 1080p.

I don't think so. Most probably just think that the X! is not as powerful as the PS4. NIt would be stupid to believe that the X1 can't handle 1080p.

didnt the developer of ragtag(an indie game) say he was also trying to achieve 1080p on the ps4 but wouldnt commit to it yet? why do you guys downplay everything xbx one? you aint a dev, you have no idea what the devs do so why downplay their efforts?if it was announced 720p you guys would still make a big deal out of it..you need to give it a rest.

People who do not think that the Xbox One can achieve 1080p and 60fps seem to completely forget about Forza 5, a day one title that achieves both of those things.

It's also from a developer that has had Xbox One dev kits longer than other developers. And they had to make sacrifices.

Not saying the Xbox One can't do 1080p/60FPS, but it will take time before we see more games that have a lot going on doing it.

All developers have to 'make sacrifices' .

For example, killzone looks good, but its far from photorealistic, and it pales in comparison to what PCs are already doing. You dont think GG would have liked to have the single player locked at 60fps or the MP match the fidelity of the SP? Maybe that's something for the next killzone.

Tradeoffs are a given part of the development process. The notion that Forza made some terrible compromises to reach performance goals when compared to other games is just BS Sony fanboys harp on because it makes them feel good.

1080P 60FPS is possible on all next gen consoles. What matters is how much detail they can push at those resolutions.
