No Free Fall DLC map for Call of Duty: Ghosts on Wii U at launch (if ever)

A new advert has revealed that the preorder Free Fall DLC map for Call of Duty: Ghosts won't be coming to the Wii U. Vooks contacted Activision to confirm and they have confirmed the map won't be there at launch 'a chance that it will become available at a later stage'.

I know how we will generate sells for the WiiU versions of our games, we will treat them like nothing titles that mean nothing to the company. Then when they don't sell well we will say it's because of lackluster WiiU sales as oppose to the crappy way we handled our IP on the WiiU.

I don't own a WiiU and this is something that really irks me for the people who do own the console.

Ol_G3829d ago

i bought blops2 on my wii u and the same thing happened .
i already decided that i wouldn't buy this title cause i expected it to happen again guess i was right

gpturbo813829d ago

its annoying as all hell, BUT at this point its almost expected.sadly

Deku-Johnny3829d ago

The worst aspect of this news is that there are people in this world that still buy CoD games. What is wrong with you people?

ape0073829d ago (Edited 3829d ago )

um we care about gameplay

internet nerds seem to forget about the first thing in gaming.......GAMEPLAY

KrisButtar3829d ago

My friends and I all by COD because of local multiplayer. What other FPS has 4 player split screen

Mikefizzled3829d ago

I haven't bought one since Black Ops 1 but I can promise it will have the same fluid and inviting gameplay which is usually the reason why people buy it over Battlefield. They have opinions and to suggest they have something wrong with them for enjoying gaming then you sir are the one with something wrong.

I switched my pre-order to PS4 from WiiU. These are the types of things that are going to kill sales of certain games on the WiiU, so it is almost the fault of the devs themselves for not including it and shooting themselves in the foot.

My PS4 is going to need a game at launch, glad to see COD runs at a higher resolution on PS4 than Xbox!

lilbroRx3829d ago

Your first statement and second statement do not correlate.

If you were looking for the best version of the game then you would be getting it on the PC instead of any console.

Announcing how you favor the PS4 instead of other system for petty reasons just makes you look like a Sony fanboy trying to boast about his preferred console.

MNGamer-N3829d ago

Your right, I'm just an *sshole and my opinions and experiences don't count. I guess I'll just go hang my head in shame and sit in the corner then.

imXify3829d ago

"Later stage"... Just say never to get this over with Activision.

JackieCruise693829d ago

Oh great. Activision, Ubisoft, and WB are all looking like HUGE assholes to me right now.
They give the Wii u shitty ports of their games and then bitch and whine when sales suck worse than they need to. This is why I HATE third party developers.
I'm getting to the point where I'm just gonna rent 3rd party multi-plat titles.

Mikefizzled3829d ago

Surely thats the worst thing you could do in a situation like this. Renting the game as apposed to showing that there is a real market for the game on the platform?

JackieCruise693829d ago

So what, you're saying is, I should buy their shit ports and show them that this is alright? It's alright that they're giving me half assed ports, taking away features, and refusing to give me DLC that the other platforms are receiving? No.
I'm not payig full price for a game that doesn't have everything it should. Either way the Wii U gets fucked and I'm sure these devs know it.

Ol_G3829d ago

no don't ever give them the impression we want butchered versions of their games

Look, to be honest the FTC should just stop.

MS has A/B and nothing has really changed yet...if you are worried about 5-10 years from now...just drop it cause the future is unpredictable.

Take this week's news, that 4 Xbox exclusive are going Multiplatform.

Yeah man I think Microsoft here getting to probe is kinda wrong unless you only have accessed to necessary information not complete access imo.

Abriael77d ago

Obviously they aren't giving them the password to Sony's computers and telling them "help yourself."

Eonjay76d ago

"Microsoft allowed to probe Sony and Ubisoft"

Sounds hot...

ApocalypseShadow77d ago (Edited 77d ago )

Maybe Microsoft should also talk and get help from their "congressional influencers" at The Capital. They had plenty to say on the matter before the acquisition. They are mighty quiet after the purchase went through. Almost as if they had a stake in the matter.

Abriael77d ago

Could you perhaps explain how this is related? I'm honestly curious since you seem to bring it up rather often.

S2Killinit77d ago

He is pointing out how corrupt MS is, and how money talks. I think.

KwietStorm_BLM76d ago

I would say read between the lines but it's pretty damn clear as it is.

Bathyj77d ago

You should be careful upsetting Sony too much Microsoft.
You might need them to sell your subpar games soon.

TornRaptor77d ago

The games will become the best things ever all of a sudden.

Bathyj77d ago

Yeah I really doubt that.
I'm struggling to think of one I really cared about missing.

Hofstaderman77d ago

Bwhahahaha. Ain't that the truth.

Mr_cheese77d ago

The only exclusive im personally interested in from Microsoft is Elderscrolls and that's not even got s release date.

Everything else is genuinely of none interest.

OtterX77d ago

Microsoft never waits for the probing to be consensual.

derek77d ago

This isn't a major victory. They're essentially being allowed to call witnesses in regards to agreements they reached with Sony and Ubisoft which was initially blocked because Microsoft didn't make the request through the proper channels. This case is dead, there is no way the ftc will be allowed to unwind this acquisition.

Sephiroushin77d ago

they probably know case is death but want some proof to sue them for a few millions regarding other stuff, the ftc loves to sue everyone, be sure that as soon as all this end they will just go sue MS and end in a settlement.
