Fallout 4 Intel Leaks From Inside PR Agency

Steven Estevez from motoringcrunch.com writes:

"Fallout 4 is expected to be the next big game from Bethesda. With the gaming giant already confirming that there will be no further Skyrim DLC coming, and word that we may not see an Elder Scrolls VI for at least another year, all eyes are on a possible Fallout 4 release sometime early 2014."

Every time i see something new about Fallout 4, i get more and more excited.

zeal0us3824d ago

Same here hopefully this leak turns out to be true.

Far as leveling goes Bethesda does not need to take anything from Skyrim.

Blacktric3824d ago

Although I don't like what Bethesda did with Fallout 3, I'm liking what I've read so far. But I'd be much more comfortable if they let Obsidian handle the IP and gave them enough time to finish what they've started.

NukaCola3824d ago

I'm hoping for it now.

VGA reveal trailer, E3 2014 demo... then

OCTOBER 2014 release on PC/PS4/Xbone

Preordering as soon as it announces!

MajorJackHoff3824d ago

Possible release early 2014? I don't knowwwwww about that one. They haven't even announced the game yet. Seriously doubt it'll come out in the next 4-5 months.

Pogmathoin3824d ago

For me, Fallout 4 is when next gen has truly arrived!! I cannot wait for this...

FunkMacNasty3824d ago

Same Here! Especially if it is set in my hometown of Boston!!

GO SOX!!!!!!!

Ausbo3824d ago

sorry dude. Go cards.

jrbeerman113824d ago

Would be interesting to see Boston used, We have seen plenty of New York, and Fallout has already touched on Vegas and DC.

Can already see the green monster standing above the wreckage of Fenway Park in the game.

Cant really remember too many games with a Boston location other than Assassins Creed 3.

GO SOX!!!!! 1 more to go!!!!

SirBradders3824d ago

They should explore somewhere else like London.

FunkMacNasty3824d ago (Edited 3824d ago )

Yea, the Only Games that have used Boston as a backdrop, that I can think of were AC3 and The Last of Us. The Last of Us was especially detailed with it's Boston levels, in that the State Street subway station looked EXACTLY as it does in real life present day Beantown. Same goes for the I93-I90 interchange where the highway signs had the legit exit and street info on them, as they hung crumbling from the State Street overpass. Although, Ubi did a great job with AC3 bringing to life Fanuel Hall, Quincy market, Liberty Square, and other Colonial era landmarks that still stand in Boston to this day

Tbh, Although I'd obviously root for Boston to be the setting, I'd really be fine with any settting as long as it's NOT the typical NYC, LA, Vegas, etc. Outside the US could be a cool setting too.. France? The UK? Even somewhere in Spain, perhaps?

SeanScythe3823d ago

Should be somewhere in the South. Swamps with mutated Alligators, Giant Crawfish, Massive Anacondas, Radioactive Mosquitoes, giant Alligator Gars, Giant Snapping Turtles.

JunioRS1013824d ago

Mr_cheese3824d ago

Fallout 4 will be good but im very excited about a new elderscrolls! I just hope that with te new generation here, we have less bugs and glitches.

zeal0us3824d ago

Oh Elder Scrolls Online is just around the corner

http://whitsblog.com/wp-con...

Mr_cheese3824d ago

Unfortunately, its not the elderscrolls i am after. I need the skyrim follow up, the next in the line and hopefully with the new gen they will be feature rich as well as graphically beautiful as they always are.

MAULxx3824d ago (Edited 3824d ago )

Not interested in Elder Scrolls mmo.

jrbeerman113824d ago

More likely more experience with the new engine they used for Skyrim will prevent more bugs and glitches.

Considering how the PC versions had problems as well points to the game itself rather than the systems.

Ive heard great things about Skyrims engine and had minimal issues with my copy of Skyrim so I would assume a cleaner product in 2014

Foxgod3824d ago

early 2014, i seriously doubt that.
end 2014 is more likely...

dumahim3824d ago

Really. Who was expecting Fallout 4 early 2014?

The_Fool3824d ago

There are no words to describe how much i need this game in my life. Very fond memories of 2008, playing Fallout 3, ignoring my need to pee, my need to eat and my need to sleep. Ahhhh those were the days, exploring DC with vintage classics on the pip boy radio.

Bring the goods Bethesda!

Not a bad thing. They've even shown excitement at what the update could bring to making things better for them. More work? Yeah. But, still a good thing overall.

-Foxtrot1d 18h ago (Edited 1d 18h ago )

I think this looks pretty great so they should take as much time as they need.

It’s kind of shame however we’ll probably never get to see an official Fallout London game or anything set in the UK now because of the mod.

Andrew3361d 15h ago

Why not? It's only gonna be available on PC and is not backed by Bethesda at all

-Foxtrot1d 9h ago

Because Bethesda might think "Meh, London has already been done with that Mod, they've taken the shine away from it and if we do it now they might think we're copying"

Something along those lines.

FPS_D3TH1d 10h ago

While I’d love to see more world building lore in Fallout, I’d be surprised if Fallout ever ventured beyond a United States setting. Maybe a dlc to a main game though. Always wondered what other places would look like, if they too had the 50s culture with futuristic tech.

Richhard11d 15h ago

No point on the update, you can get 60fps anyway with mods.

Fonsecap1d 12h ago

The update will break much more then it will fix... At least on PC.

Fallout Anthology Edition Looks Pretty S.P.E.C.I.A.L.

The Fallout Anthology Edition is coming to PC very soon, and is packaged with some very S.P.E.C.I.A.L. bonuses.

-Foxtrot5d ago

It’s an awful downgrade to the last one they did

They included physical disc back then

ocelot074d ago

Forgot I ordered this until I got the dispatch email.

FPS_D3TH4d ago

I want the first two games to come to iPhone/android

Friendlygamer4d ago (Edited 4d ago )

I would love the classic fallout games on console. Closest I could find was atom rpg, I liked that one a lot

saint_seya3d ago

I though it was a new Killzone when i saw the image, looks like a hellghast..

I bet they feel pretty stupid not allowing someone else, possibly Obsidian to do a Fallout game because they could have released it this year near the TV show to capitalise on it.

RaidenBlack6d ago

ironic, given the fact what the TV show did to New Vegas, lol

-Foxtrot6d ago (Edited 6d ago )

You know what the funny thing is...literally 10 MINUTES after making that comment I've just seen what they've done.

I mean it was a chalk board and it still feels a bit ambiguous in places but they didn't actually just do that...right?

FPS_D3TH6d ago

What exactly did the show do to New Vegas?

Wretchedstain5d ago (Edited 5d ago )

@ -Foxtrot. Based on a lot that I've read of your comments, i though we were on the same page (physical media etc non digital at nauseam...) . As Canon, I thought they did pretty well (I'm a hardcore fan), they delved into a pretty decent tie in to expand on for season 2, let alone fan service with nods to certain gameplay aspects along the way. I hope you've watched it to appreciate it 'for what it is', It's good. (Loved seeing Red Rocket station in Ep 7, goosebumps galore throughout the 8 Eps they did let alone that)

Sciurus_vulgaris6d ago

Obsidian has been working on two RPGs (Avowed and the Outer Worlds 2) for the past few years. TV shows and films can be produced much faster than video games.

-Foxtrot6d ago

I meant it as in if they just let Obsidian do this years ago before The Outer Worlds 2 and Avowed was in production. This could have been their next game instead.

ED-E6d ago

Eh depends, development hell can take many years in movies and tv series. Fallout tv series was announced 4 years ago, which was also the main development time of Fallout 4.

But yeah Bethesda was already in full production of Starfield and working on Elders Scrolls on the side. Obsidian was already with Microsoft (while Beth was not) and busy with Grounded and Pentiment. So minor updates/dlcs for their latest games was probably the best they could do.

I would have outsourced a remaster/remake of Fallout 3 to align with the release tv series.

MrBaskerville5d ago

@-Foxtrot
From what I gather they'd rather do Avowed and Outer worlds at this point. Doesn't sound like the current Obsidian really desires to go back to New Vegas at this time.

Obscure_Observer6d ago

"I bet they feel pretty stupid not allowing someone else, possibly Obsidian to do a Fallout game because they could have released it this year near the TV show to capitalise on it."

They´ll certainly take advantage of the next gen upgrade, coming to Xbox Series, PS5 and PC.

raWfodog6d ago

“They´ll certainly take advantage of the next gen upgrade, coming to Xbox Series, PS5 and PC.”

You mean ‘current’ gen, right? ;)

Obscure_Observer6d ago

@raWfodog

"You mean ‘current’ gen, right? ;)"

Precisely. Thanks ;)

Chard6d ago

Bethesda probably resents that Obsidian made the best Fallout game

Wretchedstain5d ago

Then why end the show in that fashion?

mastershredder6d ago

If you thought '76 made Fallout feel mainstream, now we have a TV show that looks like a cosplay convention. The clean duds and Garbage Kid- Looking power suits (Head scale) are killing me. I think that it's nice that there's something for tv viewers to glimpse at why people like Fallout, but they are only getting a filterd down, made for series-seasonal tv (ew), passanger's flattened persfective with no risk based upon actions or consequese or social/non-social stangings that are experienced in the game.

The series represent's itself as a Fallout the tv show for people that need that kind of pacing (again ew), not the Fallout the game. Some people will dig this. I can see them having reason to, considering everying the show is borrowing to make it something Falloutish. It not for me, and I'm cool with that.

Wretchedstain6d ago

I am a MASSIVE fallout fan, I have a computer desk shine THAT IS FALLOUT and no other. The show was amazing to me, and bias had nothing to do with that, my trepidation was ultimate. The tie in to 'something' New Vegas, had me cheering like a sports fan at the end there (I have the collectors edition, and covet its mint condition highly) and I hate sports. I love a lot of other gaming, movie and TV show things, what they have done its pretty damn cool to me.

marioJP875d ago

Checking out the show possibly tonight or tomorrow for sure. Hope it’s as good as everyone says.

anast5d ago

I have to watch it. Hopefully it's better than the recent Fallouts.
