"Chainsaw"

That's all I wanted to hear!

SolidStoner3826d ago

jet pack and new vehicles are also welcome!

AHall883827d ago

I'm going to say BS.
Niko will never return, the voice actor and Rockstar had a falling out.

AHall883827d ago

After the actor saw how much money the game was making, he wanted more than the ~$100,000 he got paid for about 18 months worth of VA and motion cap work.

Blacktric3827d ago (Edited 3827d ago )

Nothing. He said he was underpaid but that he did not blame Rockstar for it but rather the whole industry since voice actors do tend to get underpaid.

nick3093827d ago

They can hire a different voice actor.

AHall883827d ago

They could, but that doesn't really seem like their style.

mhunterjr3827d ago (Edited 3827d ago )

They could very easily just get another voice actor... I highly doubt they would allow a no name actor to dictate their story.

PhantomT14123827d ago

or not make Nico have a line...

SuperBlur3827d ago

damn greedy , i would pay to get my voice in that game -.-

All Michael Hollick said was

“But it’s tough, when you see Grand Theft Auto IV out there as the biggest thing going right now, when they’re making hundreds of millions of dollars, and we don’t see any of it. I don’t blame Rockstar. I blame our union for not having the agreements in place to protect the creative people who drive the sales of these games. Yes, the technology is important, but it’s the human performances within them that people really connect to, and I hope actors will get more respect for the work they do within those technologies.”

I doubt Rockstar will throw a sissy fit & miss out on what sounds like the most amazing piece of dlc ever xD

I hope they don't get a new VA if this is true. For 15 months straight Michael Hollick poured time, sweat and most importantly his voice into Niko. It's not something that can or should be replaced.

porkChop3827d ago

Michael Hollick was paid much more than other voice actors are (50% extra, or $30k-$40k). While I understand his point, he was still wrong. Voice actors are important, but they don't "drive the sales of games" like he alluded to. While a voice actors' performance can affect someones enjoyment of the game, gamers don't go out and buy games just because it has a voice actor they like. They buy games because of the game itself, its mechanics, its concepts, etc.

He came across as a bit ungrateful and greedy throughout the interview. $100k is not a small amount of money at all, that's a lot of cash. When Rockstar spends hundreds of millions to develop their games, literally everything they have, he should be happy that they were still generous enough to pay him much more than they needed to.

Cost of realistic looking movement.

Rockstar need to learn that 12 years of work and 5000 employees doesn’t account for one persons opinion on the internet…

Profchaos36d ago (Edited 36d ago )

Oh and hundreds of millions of dollars in revanue to boot.

Lots of complaints about gta ever since the hd era started and yet it's bugger than its ever been with gta vi up to 180 million trailer views alone. The next game is shaping it be be another genre defining game

MetalGearsofWar36d ago

They already learned they dont have to actually make a great game

sagapo36d ago

The controls of RDR2 felt a but cluncky indeed, but it’s not as bad as some make it out to be. At no point did I get the feeling my experience with the game was held back or ruined by the controls.
But it can never hurt to optimize them a bit, sure.

Zhipp36d ago (Edited 36d ago )

I did accidentally beat someone to death a couple times. An unfortunate mistake but besides that I didn't have any problems with the controlls

jznrpg36d ago

Red Dead Redemption felt clunky at first but I got used to it fairly quick. I thought 2 was easier to control but it could be my experience with the first game helped me out. Great games

Profchaos36d ago

I wouldn't call Rockstar games characters clunky instead they feel like they move with Weight they are not twitch controls press x to instantly snap onto cover the characters instead move like a actor would ducking behind cover they are exposed while they get there.
