Just watched it, most of these reasons are really stupid, for example 5 is they'll not support the Vita. It doesn't even matter if the Vita stops being supported, because you are using a PS4. The Vita remote play is an extra feature that helps the Vita mainly and much less so the PS4.

Also, number 1 is really stupid. XBLG already charges for online and you happily pay for it for nothing in return., but when Sony charges for it and gives you hundreds of dollars of free games on top of your subscription, all of a sudden it's scary.

I understand the other points, they are valid worries.

Xbox essentially killed itself off and committed suicide with DRM they can reverse back at any time and a kinect that collect your data regardless if you like it or not just to shove more adds down your throat.

The number one reason was funny so all the years MS have charged for MP it was fine but now that Sony adds just MP to the paywall to make PSN a true premium service & get want they invested in building that service back it's now a problem.

So the fact MS are still putting apps & console features behind a paywall is fine.... Fair enough all MP games have dedicated servers now which is great it's ok for them to continue to charge for services that can be accessed for free on other platforms or than people will still have to pay to use something as simple as IE a MS product.

The multiplayer of ps3 hasn't quite been the best though. Updates constantly, down for maintainance and what not. If ps4 requires maintainance like ps3, then I will probably be buying an Xbox one instead.

Why the hell are these features missing?

Suspend/resume mode? that was one of the first features they mentioned in february. If any of you know sony they are insanely slow at putting out updates.

I fear it could be a year before they get out a feature like this.

With a rumored 24second boot time. I was looking forward to suspend/resume mode. this is ridiculous :(

I doubt it takes 24 seconds to boot up the console, even the Wii U boots up faster and I can`t see them screwing up that much.

What we have seen already this gen a console launch is a soft launch followed by firmware updates that add features that haven`t been ready for launch or they thought about after launch. Just compare PS3 and 360 launch system OS with the system OS years later and how bare bone they where at launch barely featuring anything.

Even if it is a 24 second boot time, who cares. Do you turn off your console 30x a day? Plus later on games, updates and demos will download in the background while you do your thing.

I am buying a PS4 at launch, but I am worried about Gaikai. I don't expect it to work well enough to play lag free, and I don't expect remote play to work lag free outside of the home. I am also concerned about the dearth of launch games. I'll have to deal with the Free 2 Play games and my son's getting Madden. Maybe I'll bite the bullet and buy Ac4 or Killzone, but those weren't in my plans 2 weeks ago. Still, long term, I expect the games to be awesome.

I paid for Xobx Live this generation, and I am not concerned about paying for PS+ next gen.

Yes there are some worries, but I think I will be happy.

Wouldn`t be worried that not everything is there at launch. That`s just how consoles and software is nowadays. windows 8 took ages to get the feature of a start button.

Out of the 5, the live-streaming and video sharing is my biggest concern. The one example of video sharing I've seen was during the TGS 2013 and got interrupted due to conflicting signals in the area (during live TV too!). The Gaikai is my second biggest concern, possibly due the Vita TV plays PS1, maybe PS2 games. Multiplayer is not so much, because Sony games have been quite proficient to a variety of single-player/all-genres types.

Bunch of negative Nancy's they are . I don't really give a shit about suspend/resume. It'll happen eventually but it won't take away from my gaming experience. Now if I was watching tv on my video game console I might want that feature. I use it on my vita but it's a handheld and I need that multi tasking when I'm on the move sometimes. When I sit down to play a game in front of my tv the only things that matter include normal body functions required to live. I've definitely pooped myself watching a cutscene I couldn't pause. I cleaned up the next day

I think that list was only devised to balance up the XboxOne list. And on that one, the only realistic concern would be the reversal of DRM (again).

The only thing i fear is if my wallet can survive the next 5-7 years with PS4. Not to mention i still have a lot of business with PS3 & Vita. So, supporting 4 platform of video games (1 is 3DS) in the next 5-7 years will be a very tough task for my wallet. Hope God give my wallet some strength to survive this madness...aminnnn!

I think one concern with ps4 should be that Psnetwork is as bad as it was with ps3. That would be a deal breaker for me.

ive never had a problem with PSN besides the shutdown.. and tbh i think the shutdown was actually a good thing woke up everyone in the world showing that everything is vulnerable

I don't know about you, but i don't have any big complain with PSN. It's free and Sony doing decent job to make it working, even when they became the victim of those mindless hackers.

From that alone, i'm sure Sony will make PSN more smooth & reliable for PS4.

psn is fine, only problem i have is needing almost twice the memory space when downloading games. the ps4 seems to operate differently though.

The lemmings who are willing to pay for PS+ to play online are ruining gaming for everyone. I'm glad that GT touched on this issue. This is why I'm just going to continue on with my PC instead of buying a console.I might even look into buying a Steam Machine.

PSVITA one makes no sense. They've shown it running with multiple games, they said it works with every game. There's no reason not to trust it. Ford said the new mustang will work great, but what about if the wheels randomly shoot off? I feel like that's a similar comparison. In general, all these fear are unwarranted. I would love backwards compatibly though...
