Pre-Launch Shopping Interest Suggests Sony’s PlayStation 4 May Have the Merriest Holiday

Over the past four months, online shopping interest in the PS4 has consistently outpaced that of the Xbox One by a margin of over 2 to 1. Online at least, three out of four next-generation console shoppers have considered the PS4, with 61% considering ONLY the PS4. Contrast that to the 39% that have shopped for the Xbox One and the 27% that shopped the Xbox One exclusively.

The king is back on his throne. Not that Sony ever left but this will surely put the doubters back in their place. Last gen was a bloodbath for Sony. Glad to see they've regained their composure. KZ can't come soon enough!

Imagine. PS3 passes Wii in 2016 while PS4 is dominating! Sony could win 4 straight gens! Regardless of if you support them or not (a man is a Sony and Nintendo fan and has a Wii and will get a WiiU next year along with maybe a 3DS) a fan must acknowledge how impressive that will be.

Wow so I guess all the polls and preorder numbers were precursors to this information.

I knew that the PS4 was going to be popular but I thought it would only have 55% of sales this holiday season. 61% is a much more impressive figure.

Truth is both consoles aren't worth it unless you are
hardcore. #Istillhavecod crowed.. Will stall next gen consoles if people can still play it.They better hope titan fall is the true next gen game that scream buy a xbox and it isnext gen.I however doubt it,the Ps4 won't have a real exclusive till infamous, yet need multi player uncomfortably for the none core fan. Yet ps4 price will be attractive enough to make mom think about it.

I still see Ps4 out shinning the Xbox One but the marketing on both consoles have been exciting, this will be considered a console war reminiscent to the Genesis and Super Nintendo, the console war is on and glad to be fortunate to have both systems on there launches!
