What Yakuza's Producer Hates about GTA

Hold on. Don't start sending hate mail to Sega just yet. Let's hear the man out.

GarrusVakarian3829d ago (Edited 3829d ago )

A little hypocritical but i see his point.....but then i have to bring up the same argument that i use for other instances when someone says portraying killing/violence as fun is wrong....it's a videogame!

GTA isn't a violence/crime instruction manual, its just a videogame, same with any other violent videogame. People who take videogames so seriously should question themselves on why they play them.

Get a room guys, the sexual tension is palpable.

And Yakuza fans hate the lack of localisation on Yakuza 5 and Yakuza 1+2 HD (had to put it on this article before someone else did lol)

Inception3829d ago

Hopefully Yakuza Ishin got better treatment. I mean, playing as Saito Hajime / Shinsengumi is badass!
But i'm crossing my fingers >.<

nyobzoo3829d ago

Reading the article, yea I see where he's coming from

MrDead3829d ago (Edited 3829d ago )

I love the Yakuza games and the people that make this unique and insane series, but I disagree with Mr Nagoshi on this.

I just see a game as a game, you're not killing or robbing anyone its all just fiction, but hey I'm not going to dislike the guy because he has a different opinion..... you never know he might've changed his mind since then as this article is based on a lecture held in 2011.

Yakuza series out-performs GTA series in every department. I completely agree with him.
For the people complaining about violence:
You don't go around in Yakuza beating the crap out of innocent folks. Plus, yakuza has better narration and story.
