Forbes- 'Wii Party U' Review: Second Screen Revolution Delivers The Goods

Forbes:Overall Wii Party U handsomely escapes any concerns it may be a collection of tech demos. Instead it offers literally hundreds of reasons why the Gamepad controller makes a significant difference to playing games in the same place with your family.

When did Forbes become a gaming site?

While I had absolutely no interest in a mini game collect ... seeing some of those vids on gonintendo.com really makes this game look pretty fun. If you need a wiimote ... its basically 10 bucks ... I might actually pick it up. Looks far more fun than NintendoLand.

This has many bad reviews but it will sell like crazy because its bundled with a Wiimote. Remember Wii play? It was thecrappiest best selling game ever. I'm also not too sure the bad review score are indicative of the games quality. Most of these game site reviewers probably didn't play it with some children or older people, which is kind of who this title is meant for. I'll be playing this with my grandma, wife, kids and the rest of my family at Thanksgiving. I'm sure this will be great for those type of occasions.

Many bad reviews? I've only read a few of them and they have been in the mixed to positive range. Which reviewers didn't like the game?

brewin3835d ago

Edge, Joystiq, GameSpot all give it 5 out of 10 or less. Its only got a few positive reviews the rest are negative or very mixed. Im stil gettin it cuz I pre ordered it for $35 from newegg some time ago during a special they were running. I know ill have a blast playing this with my 8 and 12 year old, especially when they have friends over or we take it to grandmas house for thanksgiving and other holidays.

this how it is for every nintendo mini games, but when you try it the games are fun.....I personally think the people who review these games are not the type to buy these so playing them would feel like a chore for them, they would rather play last of us or some other adventure game, but you know its true and this is why there are a lot of bias reviews, I would look to Miiverse and see what actual people say that took a chance and not review it because they had to in order to get paid

Surprised that the UK is getting different discounted games than the US. Hopefully Wind Waker and NSMBU get a discount stateside.

DivineAssault 2966d ago

Why does the US get different select titles? I hope nintendo does away with region locking when the NX gets here.. If i didnt have these titles already, i would want to import..
