Plus, isn't Ryse still struggling just to run at 30 FPS? I mean, not hating on the game at all. It's probably the only game on the X1 that I actually want to play. But really... Some people try to say that it looks better than... Let's say Killzone for example. First of all, not true, second of all, Killzone runs at twice the frame rate at native 1080p.

For comparison's sake, back before I built myself an actual gaming rig, I'd play games on a laptop from 2009. It could play any and all of Valve's Source Engine based games at 1080p and well above 60 FPS. Source is an absolutely fantastic engine.

IF, this is true, there really shouldn't be any excuse on Microsoft's part. (This is why I find it a little hard to believe, but still... It would be bad news if so.)

Well in all fairness, the quote from the article was originally from the CoD: Ghost 720p thread on NeoGaf, people saw it and made a 'Titanfall 720p' thread.

From what people are saying, CBOAT seems to be a fairly reliable source. As to why he writes like this, he apparently does it to avoid being tracked down.

Who knows, it may very well be false, but this is NeoGaf we're talking about here, so I wouldn't completely discount it.

Exactly, I would think the resolution would be higher than 720p, given that this will be the target resolution for the 360 version.

Whether the Xbox One version will be 1080p or not, I wouldn't say I'm certain it's going to be 1080p, but it will surely be above 720p.

It's on the aging Source engine, it's a game made by the previous heads of Infinity Ward (CoD2, COD4: MW, MW2) and targetting 60fps. There's AI running around, there's real players running around, there's huge Titan's walking around with their own AI that you can jump into, there's ships and battles going on in the background/sky - there's really a lot going on on-screen at once. With that in mind, 60fps will be a big target, and maybe it doesn't quite make 1080p, maybe it's 900p. If you have to drop some pixels here and there to be able to push more information on-screen then that's fine.

COD Ghosts is confirmed 1080p 60 fps on both Xbox One and PS4, which is not a surprise, visually I think they're about as striking as each other to look at, but Titanfall clearly has a lot more going on in the multiplayer space.

It would explain why MS has been making such a big deal about Titanfall only being shown on high-end gaming PC's so far. At Gamescom and TGS, MS said it was the developer's choice to demo the game on a high-end gaming PC. And yet, those Titanfall demos were in the MS area, using that same PC-in-a-cabinet setup. Has there been any demos of Titanfall actually running on a debug XBone yet? No wonder.

To tell you the truth if there is a big difference in hardware between the two consoles and developers aim for parity, future PS4 owners would suffer by getting a game that doesn't take full advantage of the extra power of the system.

Titanfall won all those awards....more than any 1080p game out there. It has the best reviews so far out of all the next gen FPS games shown this year. That 32MB ESRAM is a massive bottleneck, a 1080p frame buffer generally requires at least double that. Xbox One doesn't have the bandwidth or ROPS to produce many 1080p games (720/900p should be expected). The Xbox One will no doubt have pretty games, but the architecture is fundamentally designed for Kinect / apps, not gaming.

Not about to get into too much detail, but there are a number of games which have run at 1080p/60 frames on PC (I know it is not quite the same) with about the same amount of ddr3 ram as in the xbox one. There's no doubting that 8gb GDDR5 is better, but for many of these games, the xbox one hardware should get the job done.

Either way it already looks amazing...a few months back they were saying it would be 720p 60fps....trading resolution for frame rate then upscaling to 1080p. However, there is still at least 4 months to refine the game. Again..the whole resolution thing is getting a little out of hand....PS4 typically goes for resolution over framerate, where XB1 goes for framerate or large persistent worlds without load times...there are advantages to both...but I like the XB1 approach better personally...esp considering that not a single one of you can tell the difference between Native and upscalled 1080p

Also of note, considering how many fanboys are taking the bait, and taking an unfounded rumor as fact because it makes the XB1 look bad, and the PS4 look better....let's also look at another rumor (that has actually already been proven to a degree). I read the NeoGaf article and find quite a few of them to be downright rude..not all, just some. People need to be more polite...Then I read the follow up comments from the MS people...I never took it for one second that they said 720P. What a bunch of word twisters. Until I've heard it straight from the Developers themselves, then its still 1080 on target they said they were shooting for.

As for CBoat and company..they have been off target since E3. All of their insider info has been 30mins after it was announced by said companies. I find it funny how "cryptic" he/she thinks they are, when its so easy to pull IP's and find out who they are if companies wanted to.

My laptop is 1366x768(768p),My Wii is 640x480(480p),My iPad is 1024x768,My cable box is 640x360/480(360p-480p),And my iPhone is 640x960.My PS2 is 640x360(360p).
I have almost never seen an Full-HD Device in my life.(My TV can produce 1080p,But no devices actually has 1080p support.Stop arguing.
