In a video interview, Keiji has said that he would be happy to make a spiritual successor to Mega Man Legends via Kickstarter.
OVERRIDER is a new sci-fi roguelite about hoverboarding and smashing robots, and there's a Kickstarter campaign to help get it funded.
Cinnabunny and Time is Honey are currently up to be crowdfunded on Kickstarter right now. They're both adorable.
A Kickstarter campaign for Scrylight, an AR game that lets players hunt ghosts, is launching in October.
Looks like Keiji would be able to do a lot of "spiritual successors" to franchises he doesn't own :D
Mega Man Legends was really a great series. It's a shame CapCom owns the trademark/rights for it.
With the recent success of Mighty No.9's kickstarter, it would be no doubt that if Keiji thinks of starting a spiritual successor series to Mega Man Legends, it will end up successful as well on Kickstarter.
I loled so hard at his arabic custom.
Nice interview tho. legends is my least fev megaman yet its better than half of the new games.
That is cool news to hear. But I would prefer to hear Keiji wants to make a spiritual sequel to Mega Man Battle Network more. I think Mighty No.9 Battle Network would be pretty cool. So I hope a game like that happens some day.
