Absolutely amazing trailer, the visuals are really great.

BUT, and don't take this the wrong way, it's even clearer now that RYSE demo on E3 was on a PC.

There are some noticeable differences from this trailer and the build we saw at E3.

Well familyguy, if you look at any of my posts talking about MS, i'm clearly against them for their business policies over the last 7 or 8 years.

I normally talk about the fanboys if im criticizing either 'side'/ I have never planned on getting an X1. However I am also not a sony fanboy, i'm not going to stupidly pretend Sony has them completely outclassed when they clearly don't. Or overrate F2P games etc, i'm not going to lie about the power of either console, or how weak they are compared to a decent gaming PC, or how overrated 'optimization' is when most of the people on this site don't even understand it's the developers engines than improve, it improves for everything be it console or PC.

You can just go into various articles on this site and see clear hypocrisy for the majority of users. I just don't like that. I mean most of this site were completely against the fact that you were forced to pay to play online on Xbox. Now it's the same for Ps4 and guess what...Nobody cares anymore. That's right, don't pay the extra fee on top of your internet connection, sony is holding half your game hostage. Oh..but lets not mention that right Sony boys?

We still have people going on about 1080p and 60FPS and the X1's lack of it when there is literally only one real 'next gen' game on Ps4 that is even doing it. Which is Killzone. Just like the X1 which has only 1, Forza.

Ryse is also the best looking game on next gen consoles, it clearly is and I can only see denial about it. Is it the most impressive spec wise? Probably not. It is 900p afterall. Why does it look so good? Simple, it's a linear action game. Same way ND get Uncharted so much better looking than the likes of Battlefield.

Now after reading this, try to understand, I will not be getting an Xbox again. I'm getting a Ps4, there is a massive chance that PS will have a wider variety of great games. Just like this gen and the gen before it. PS+ is a better deal, even though it might end up a slightly worse gaming service(it probably won't unless MS are doing something I don't know about). I like F2P games but I know for a fact that they suffer from being free, they will NEVER take a spot on my 'top games list'. It just doesn't happen.

Edit- At Septic down there, what does it mean to playh like a next gen game? As far as we've seen every new game coming out is doing **** all 'new' gameplay wise. Killzone is playing it extremely safe too. Ryse is just being another hack and slash with nothing unique about it.

Killzone sf is totally different from previous installments,bigger environments,stealth,traversal mechanics and nonlinear mission structure.

so what? I have a 60" plasma LG TV with 20/20 vision. I sit probably 8-10 ft away, I can't tell the difference between 720p and 1080p, let alone 900p, and, with up scaling you won't either. Resolution between 900p and 1080p only comes into play with a computer monitor that you are sitting close enough to smell. Move on.

I don't think any launch title will play like a nex-gen game. It's always been the case, graphics improve first then comes the gameplay innovations within the next year.

Games like Destiny and Division look like they'll play nex-gen, but i think the reall stuff will come end of next year.

Amazing viuals! No LOD, characters have same models in-game like in cutscenes, and as Crytek stated, every character got same fidelity as Marius. This is very impressive! Finally we see a new face of Ryse, the one that should be shown way before. If xbox one has such probelms with dev tools and is so weak as everyone in here assume then I have NO Idea HOW crytek managed to pull off this kind of graphics! Even fat guys cheeks are realistically shaking somewhere at 1:30 lol.

How did you find the MP? It looked like it would become rather tedious to me...
Some games just don't need MP, one in particular that stands out for me was Bioshock2 and although I played it alot it was obvious it was more of an after thought IMO, I kinda get the same feeling with this, Ryse looks like it has the potential to have an epic campaign but Given Microsoft are very online/cloud focussed they probably pushed Crytek into delivering on online portion to the game... Clearly I am just thinking out loud...

Oh and dead space 2... worst MP ever, why,just why?

I guess it could get tedious if you just button mash but the fun is in learning the combos and stringing them together to make even more elaborate free flow combat.

A bit like the feeling you get in Batman when you single handed take out 20 guys although in the case of Ryse its a lot less and a bit more weight and clunk to proceedings. It really feels like you are wielding a heavy shield and sword.

The other fun part is playing it co-op with a mate as I did. you can then time and coordinate your moves to produce gruesome combos and executions.

The enemy AI try to split you up and flank you and the quality of opponents gets better. Once they start to block and counter really effectively you then have to out smart them.

There is def some laughs to be had in the mp mode.

Its all about the co-op!

i too played ,gameplay is not something very new but the way they represented and its smoothness ,it feels a whole new kind of hack and slash first you use to engage enemy get some damge and do it simuntaneosly to every one and tere appers button to press ,at first it looks like god of war ,then you feels damge done to ememys surrounding you also dies while pressing differnt buttons and combat is also not simple like god of war,there are amzing combos and enemys are intellegent and hard to take damge they use to attack you quickly and game is also little challenging and difficlt its not agame like just wave your sword and every one will die by them self.must buy this game ,but the best gameplay what i find was of dead risimng 3 that game is having many things never seen before ,and is loot of fun also buying that game both are amzing i'm also buing ps4 2 to 3 months after when good games will come to it never ,i have no interest in kz:shadow fall ,it has only good graphics and very simple liner non appealing game play but infamous, titanfall looks very fun.still to see order and halo 5 and quantum break.

Yes. Graphics for Ryse were never really doubted, despite the 900p downgrade. (This is Crytek). Everyone's worrying about the gameplay.
Still that's a good trailer. Only times I cringed were the dull characters, really cheesy b-movie dialogue lines and that British accent in ancient Rome.

for cut scenes? Every cutscene is what you see in game. Same models, no LOD and amazing facial animations. Probably only next-gen game that was playable so far which uses same models for eveything and no LOD.

Downgraded to 900p you say? Crytek stated e3 demo was running in 900p as well, there was never a downgrade and besides, with layered powerful upscaler you won't see any difference than 1080p and you will be able to afford some AA.

That sounds completely ridiculous because a fully-fledged story trailer hasn't been released for KZ: Shadow Fall. I'm still waiting to see it, and i hope it's not boring, and offers something interesting. The backdrop to the conflict on Vekta already SOUNDS great, but I need to see actual footage of it.

Sorry man, I'm just saying it how I see it. Ryse is a fabulous LOOKING game from what that trailer shows. Gameplay needs to match up to those visuals cause from what they've shown us so far is clunky, generic and poor gameplay. And everything in that trailer that is story-based i.e. the characters, the backdrop is just uninspired and bland, and for its own good, looks to me like its needs improvements in that area.

Despite the bad press due to QTEs and muddled multiplayer, I think people are going to be surprised by RYSE once it releases. A game set in Rome is awesome. The synopsis of the story - protagonist returns home after battle to find his family murdered by the enemy - is cliche. But I never get bored with that premise in that particular setting. I bet the game will get a 9.2.

Did you actually even watch the same trailer as me? Even the damn fighting in a promo video was glitchy and had horrible hit detection. Every time they switched to actual game play in the trailer, it makes me sick to my stomach...

This game had lots of potential and great promise but... It's destin to fall flat on its beautiful graphical face.

-the story is GOW and Gladiator but with bad British acting
-the fighting mechanic from every single game play preview has been glitchy, repetitive and boring
-the trailer pretty as it may be was filled with the same backdrops we've already seen and filled with identical enemies and Allied soldiers

these graphics are the best graphics that i've seen on any console ,and comabta is not very new i,ve played it but is very smooth ,sattisfieng and feels very good ,at e3 it was shown in very bad way ,combat wass looking very bad but when you play it by yourself it feels like magic feels more good and engaging than god of war ,its enemy ai was also very entelegent and co-op feels lot of fun with your friends .

i see screen tearing wtf?. thought after all those downgrades you would expect a flawless game.
