Cuz believe it or not, some people just plain don't feel like using a keyboard & mouse to browse the web on a large tv - from a couch.

For me - I use the the PS3 browser because it's faster than a cold boot from my laptop.

Awww....Dammit!! Looking at the title, I thought there was a "benchmark program" for the consoles to be released to the masses being talked about. I'm sure the devs have have benchmark programs tools for both PS4 & XB1 and they'll be eventually leaked out by either VGleaks, Reddit or Digital Foundary. Then we'll even have MORE intel on what both consoles really can output. You just wait......

I know, it is kindo of ridiculous that all we hear are 1080p and 60fps reports from indie developers with low system requirements.

Then again, if it looks good and feels good, why do I care what resolution or frame rate it is.

Pixel quality is and enjoyable experience is what I want from my games. Otherwise, I get a PC where 4K resolution at 60fps is possible. It makes 1080p look like three decade old technology.

1080p is the norm for PS4 games and 30FPS will be standard with select titles going to 60FPS. If Final Fantasy 14 runs at 1080P and 60FPS then this game won't have any issues at all achieving that.

Here is the thing. The ps3 can definately hit 60fps at 1080p. But it the devs decide to make the game "prettier" than we won't get it.

It's one or the other one.

Of course first party devs can also squeeze out a lot more out of the games

The 360 and PS3 can do 1080p/60. It's not hard.

It's just a matter of them deciding where to balance the game between fancy graphical prettiness and the resolution and framerate.

It's all a big give and take.

actually the XB360 can't do 1080p.. the max resolution it can render at is 720p (o_O)

the PS3 can render at 1080p, tho very little games do this
