I find it funny non those headsets even support rudimentary core DTS, it's sad really. All these sets tout 7.1 sound but have no HDMI input & output.

It's like the they're all too cheap to pay DTS license. Despite that, their headsets still cost more than a PS3 or Xbox console.

If ps4 uses the same connection then most likely..

X1 changed from 2.5mm to USB based so it needs new headsets (or adaptor).. But I believe ps4 hasnt changed so all ps3 models should work

Why the F.. this things are so expensive?
This one is the same one that is for $150 on bestbuy right? I don't even thibk it support all the channels the PS4 support.

The best astro cost $300 .. really? The PS4 cost $400 .. who will buy this is really stupid. And is just a 7.1 channel .. the PS4 has 9.1 or 12.1 channels if I'm not mistaken .. so this things for the Ps4 will cost a PS4 and it will be the most stupid rip off investment, I rather buy anothee PS4.

I hope pulse ps4 comes out is a beast (meaning it include as many channels as the ps4 can handle and is wireless and comfortable to use) and it does not cost over $150 and that is including taxes .. the right price will be $60- $100

The Sony Pulse Elite headphones are expensive. I bought some a couple of months ago to go along with my PS4 when it comes out. I found them for sale for $129 and never thought to check Amazon.com for a better deal. That's what I would recommend for you. I've seen them brand new for $100 before on that site. For a headset that's highly reviewed and touted as being better than Beats By Dre I think that's a good deal. Enjoy your PS4 in a few weeks. :)

Well I will see what headsets come for the PS4 I hope something good cones for around $150 and like you say I will wait to get it for $100 that will be a fair deal. I always check on Amazon before buying anything expensive.

Good headphones are very expensive. While not a headset, I game and listen to music using a pair of Sennheiser HD600's powered by a LittleDot MKIII tube amplifier with custom vintage tubes. The headphones alone cost more than a PS4, but when properly powered... the sound is beyond description. They're used with my PC with a x-Fi titanium HD sound card running 192/24.

One of these days i'm going to get a sennheiser headset. I've been playing battlefield 4 all week and lack of voice makes it not as good as it could be.

Unless you own your own cinema then its going to be simply impossible to differentiate anything above 7.1 infact the difference between 5.1 & 7.1 is unnoticeable as it is in an average sized room.

Audio Technica I believe all gamers need to consider.

They have come-out with ( 2 ) highly capable and absolutely comfortable headphones for gamers - ( ATH-AG1 = if you prefer closed back design ) or ( ATH-ADG1 = open-air ).

They are coming very soon, have seen and tested them at EB EXPO 2013.

I agree with strigoi814, I use Audio Technica m-50's with a turtle beach DSS and it's out of this world. The headphones themselves are 2 channel stereo but the DSS does an incredible job of creating fully immersive surround sound.
