Zombie Studios has heaped praise on Sony’s PlayStation 4, saying that working on the next-generation console has been amazing.
The company, which is currently developing horror title Daylight for Sony’s new video games machine, also spoke highly of the PS4’s unique functions such as the Share button on the DualShock 4.
The prolific developer calls it quits after 20 years, putting the status of its library into doubt.
Hey, after Daylight, they needed to do something. That game was just awful.
The team behind Blacklight: Retribution, Daylight, and plenty of other titles has officially closed down.
Blacklight was a complete failure and now it will probably never be fixed on PS4.
I never played it on PS4 but had some fun with it on PC in the earlier days of its launch. I heard some people complaining about Daylight more than anything though. Nevertheless, Blacklight development was transferred to Builder Blox along with several members at Zombie.
Yeah it was a very cool game! Liked it more than cod ghost.
F2p is a risky busines.

It was dead in terms of content on PC so IDK what you were expecting from the PS4 port.
That sucks. :/ I enjoy Blacklight a lot, actually. Especially Onslaught mode. Daylight was pretty bad though. I really enjoyed many of their other games though, particularly the Saw games.
Also, nice reference, Zombie Studios. You will be missed.
I don't get why they couldn't keep people jobs and retire. I'm only 20 so I have not looked into retiring but surely this isn't the only way? If it was about the money surely they could have sold to someone. Maybe it was about zombie being theirs?

That's what I'm assuming as well. I'm curious why they did decide to shutdown the studio nevertheless. There's probably more to it than money I'm sure. As in it's more of a passion for the company, the name, and what not.

This is so true if they would of come out with it before outlast then yes but...
Outlast:
- Out 3-5 weeks sooner
- Wayy longer
- Scary as h3ll
- Free for a month
- Has DLC out
I dunno; if it's based on reality, it *could* be scary...
...like it was based on something like the dollar falling, and the worldwide consequences or some junk.
Then add the zombies and find out that a bullet costs $600.
Amnesia was better than even Outlast. And Outlast was very good. Has anyone played Daylight? I'm waiting on a steam sale before I purchase it.

The game isn't scary. It's a glorified Slender clone that doesn't even hit that level of tension. This is either marketing or the result of an inflated ego.
