Ummm, well, so long as it isn't purely for shock value, and so long as it doesn't implcitly condone and make sport of whatever it is...

Donnieboi3850d ago

Oddworld games have always had the underlying theme of harshness, slavery, brutality and mental cruelty as a theme. The creatures were even being forced to work as slaves while they're eyes were surgically removed, only to take the bone's of their comrades and turn them into an ingredient for soft drinks. Weird--yes, but also shows how cruel slavery/captivity can get (think of the cruelty shown towards Holocaust victims and how they were dismembered, tortured, experimented on, and not fed, etc) for example.

You must be fun at parties.

@bathyj
"you must be fun at parties"
N4G isn't a party.., God forbid someone talk about games on a gaming website.

"you must be fun at parties"
no offense, but that is somthing slow people say when they don't want to engage in intelligent conversation because they know they can't keep up"

"you must be fun at parties"
funny, everyone i know who says that are the ones who can't hold their liquor and end up ruining the party.

Awesome. I'll buy anything this guy makes.

CandyFace3850d ago

Metoo! The Oddworld Games were awesome and i can't imagine something new by this lovely company to be any less amazing. Take my got damn money.

Kenshin_BATT0USAI3850d ago

Ok...? It's not gonna be hard to top it. The torture scene wasn't NEARLY as bad as what are in movies and such.

jukins3850d ago

that what i was thinking. I heard all the hooplah about the torture scene in gtav and when I got to it and through it I thought to myself I've seen way worse many times and not just recently.

Kenshin_BATT0USAI3850d ago

Honestly, I wasn't even aware THAT was the torture scene in question. I thought another one happened later in the game that was gonna be far worse(cutting someone's limb off with hepatic feedback) Now that would have been bad.

Bathyj3850d ago

Wow. You got old Lorne. I still see you as the guy with the long black hair and evil looking beard.

whitesoxfalife19763850d ago

Hey thas me with long dark that feels like ice as it blows pass the fearful and the scary beard twisted like the dancer himself

More interested in money than giving fans what they want. Such a shame

CrimsonWing692d ago

With the amount of money they generated, I just don’t understand the scrubbing of this. It would’ve been fantastic for fans.

I really want to know who drove the decision to focus on multiplayer was it Rockstar or take two.

Because when online started taking off many of the studio leads began having falling outs and leading including a founder

Ikr mfs that greedy it's ridiculous

andy852d ago

This makes me sad. Trevor was one of my favourite characters in gaming

Demetrius1d 19h ago

One of the reason I believe once gta 6 release, most of us thoroughly play it, enjoy the world they crafted then after that no offline support, no dlc at all
