Wayne is playing Beyond: Two Souls right now for his review and he can tell you right now that he is enjoying the game. But he is noticing one thing that’s been more prominent in my head as games like The Walking Dead lumbered onto the scene and made everyone take more notice of adventure games. he is getting more and more convinced that this kind of game, just like television, needs a separated, episodic structure.

BY GRANT TAYLOR: If there’s one thing I appreciate in gaming, it’s a strong female character. In recent years, we’ve seen countless women in games, ranging from fierce warriors to masters of the supernatural. These days, if a game doesn’t have a female lead, you at least have the choice to select one.
I’ve played so many games with brilliant female protagonists in the last decade. It was honestly difficult getting this list down to just five!
So, which of these characters rank the highest?
I agree but it all depends on how the story is structured. Beyond Two Souls would have worked as an episodic game because of how it does a lot of jumping around from Jodie's timeline. Heavy Rain was good because that story had a more direct structure to it similar to a movie.
This is so strange, I was thinking to myself the other day that QD style of games would fit perfectly with an episodic style
