- PS Vita TV to outsell PS4, Xbox One, PS Vita Handheld, WiiU and every other set top box/microconsole on the market once it releases in the west. Sony's Internet TV service to be the center piece of this new console.

- PS3 to sell like hotcakes, surpassing 100 million in lifetime sales within the next two years

That's not the case with the PS3 outselling the Xbox 360 in worldwide sales. Playstation always had the better quality for the price thus selling more units and in less time.

Thats not really the case. America was the only country where the 360 outsold the Ps3. The Ps3 had a slight lead in Europe and dominated the 360 in Japan with the higher price. This gen there are other reasons. MS did a terrible job of communicating to the public. MS pissed off alot of gamers with the DRM and retarded restrictions. As soon as Sony said they weren't doing any of that crap PS4 preorders were through the roof. MS priority with the xbox 1 isnt games. All they talked about was TV and sports. The first xbox 1 ad was about football they didnt show any games. The only reason the xbox 1 is more expensive is cuz of the camera. Which MS already confirmed that you don't need it to use the console but they are still forcing it on you anyway.

Well if you look at it this way you can see why the PS4 will sell more than the Xbox One at launch.

First of all is the number of regions that the two consoles are launching in with the PS4 launching in 36 countries (Asia included) and the Xbox One launching in 13. The second factor is the price where the PS4 is a 100$ cheaper than the Xbox One. The third factor is Microsoft's terrible PR and shady tactics which will pull some people towards the PS4.

Due to these three factors the PS4 will sell more than the Xbox One this holiday season.

Agreed, there's another reason though.

The PS4 is more powerful. We don't know exactly how much by, but it is significant.

Hopefully for the people that aren't wise enough to do their research when buying a next gen console will be informed of the facts of each console by the friendly retail staff and will be able to make an informed decision.

Sometimes that will result in them deciding the X1 is the right console for them and/or their family and that's great. But I would imagine most of the time it will result in a purchased PS4.

Only time will tell. Can't wait for next gen.

Is answer was that both MS and Sony sold all the preorders units so the real question was about how many Sony and MS can produce.

2) I don't recall Pachter saying that XB1 would surpass ps4. as far as I know he always said that blocking used market would make the competitor go for not blocking used market to get a edge (way before the Ea reveal.
