Leviathyn writes: "It’s been months since the world has been given the opportunity to plunge into the creative, post-apocalyptic world of Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us and what a journey it was. Taking on the overused setting of the typical zombie-survival variety, The Last of Us managed to provide a surprisingly unique viewpoint along with a truly involving narrative. Combine that with 3.19 million units sold along with a 95 average based on 98 critical reviews via Metacritic and Naughty Dog’s latest title is not only easily considered a modern day classic but also a potential game of the year winner. However, having recently gone through the title myself, I think we could stand to realize its over-hyped and superhuman facade."
"The Game Music Foundation are today very proud and pleased to announce an additional concert, circling back to the roots of Game Muisic Festival in Poland. On April 28th, 2024, the National Forum of Music in Wroclaw will once again become a place to celebrate the art of video game music, featuring scores from The Last of Us and The Last of Us Part II." - The Game Music Foundation.
Najam from eXputer writes "It's time fore a new installment in the series, not another pointless remaster."
They are working on something new. Not to be rude but it is impossibility stupid to think ND next major announcement is going to be a remaster or their next Last of Us entry is going to be another remaster.
The team is sad for losing out on such a great project but celebrates its growth because of spending time on it.
All they had to do was make a basic online mode like their previous games. Instead they wanted more money and choose to go live service which makes games worse in my opinion.
What a waste of time and money, what a shame.
Not sure why they didn’t just make Factions 2. There was no need to make it a live service.
TLoU Factions was a great addition such a shame they couldn’t be bothered to remaster that for PS5 considering the crazy high price tag of the remaster of a remaster…
This is something to be celebrated. This studio is smart and they get it, even factions 2 wouldn't've have been worth the time. I am surprised they didn't just remaster the first one though, but actually how popular was Factions?
This is a case of an idea setting an agenda and will only lead to controversy, intentional or not. The fact that they've picked a contender for GOTY is indicative of where this series of articles is going to go. I wouldn't call it flamebait or trolling, I would describe it as a bad idea.
"Personally, it feels to me that Naughty Dog gave into pressure from some outside source to make the game easier on every level. By upping the count of every form of ammunition and equipment in their own stealthy way and having no repercussions for kicking the bucket, the gameplay became more of a chore than a good time, which greatly upsets me."
Playing the game in survivor mode really makes ammunition and tools scarce. Gameplay wise I truly don't see what's wrong with it. The enemy AI in this game is amazing and truly overlooked to simply criticize the friendly AI. People complain about the shooting mechanics but obviously its meant to not be accurate. Not saying The Last of Us is perfect but its way more above average and it isn't "over-hyped" to say the least. So like the title says Your Opinion is wrong.
I'm thankful that not only did we get a rebirth of the survival horror genre, but also got it from an amazing dev. I seriously don't think we'll ever get another game like this, ever.
There will always be games like GTA, always. They're so many titles that can copy GTA. Nothing can copy The Last Of Us, it should be game of the year.
This site quotes Quarter to Three for criticism.
That alone is a questionable decision. That site is pure clickbait.
There were plenty of times throughout the game where I had too few supplies to act carelessly. Obviously playing on Normal won't be a challenge. This game had me under so much suspense as I played it, no complaints here. TLoU FTW!!
