Now if I could only play this with the Oculus Rift or PS Virtual reality headset...

abzdine3858d ago

i remember the exclusive Sony F1 launch title game on PS3 was AMAZING, i only had the demo and i think i have played it over 100 times.
the rain effect is the best one i have never seen before Heavy Rain

pete0073858d ago

sorry, but at the time it was the only game we actually could see something next gen on sony side, apart the 25;30 fps sub hd, prety much like pgr3, wich had a powerfull online rewarding and vicious competitive system

RVanner_3858d ago

Too right, so it should be.

pwnsause_returns3858d ago (Edited 3858d ago )

sweet. thats going to be a treat.

WillM173858d ago (Edited 3858d ago )

60 fps should be confirmed for all next-gen games

bumnut3858d ago

Its not possible, as time goes on the following sacrifices will have to be made-

1. less fps
2. lower resolution
3. less detail

JimmyLmao3858d ago (Edited 3858d ago )

eh.. i'd take full HD 1080p over 60fps any day

but 1080p 60fps would be nice =)

im glad most developers are choosing 1080p and at least 30fps (aiming for 60) for most games on PS4

memots3858d ago

1080p is nice yes , But 60fps is not important.

sourav933858d ago

I'm pretty sure the next gen consoles would be able to run F1 games ove 60fps. Then again, there's no need, is there? I ran F1 2012 at max settings over 100fps with a GTX 570. Of course, this could also mean that F1 2014 will have much more graphical features compared to it's predecessors.

nirwanda3858d ago

The reality is that games run smoother when they frame rate matches the display which is why console games should try to lock at 60fps as it generally matches the display.
Movies are filmed at 24fps usally which is why tvs now have a 24htz mode as its smoother.

Kleptic3858d ago (Edited 3858d ago )

^that 24p mode is actually not 'smoother'...which is the point...

Films recorded at 24 fps have a significant amount of 'judder', that many people actually prefer...however, not one digital TV can actually refresh at 24hz...the 24p mode is available on Tv's with 120hz or more refresh rates...120 frames is divisible by 24 without any 'runts'...so the tv can step the source video a certain way to retain that look/feel of analog filmed movies...The TV can just recreate each frame 5 times, and only display 24 different frames per second...exactly how the original film was printed...

without the 24p processing...120hz stuff looks creepy smooth...and a lot of people seem to hate that...just wanted to clarify, thats all...

Carlos writes "Last week we had a ton of new backwards compatible titles come to the Xbox One, helping to push the number of games closer to the 400 backwards compatible mark. Today sees two more additions, but are they games that players should dust off once more or should they be left in the past?"

I don't get why people ask if having BC games on XB no matter how great or bad they are, are worth it.

There are many gamers... aka Me... That have a large 360 collection and want to eventually finish these games they may have started and put aside or collect all the achievements. To me, I want every 360 game on BC so that I can complete them all.

F1 2010 vs F1 2011 vs F1 2014 vs F1 2015 comparison

Team VVV writes: "To follow up on our recent F1 2011 vs F1 2015 video, we decide to go one step further and put four iterations of Codemasters' F1 titles side by side for comparison purposes and for a little fun too.

We have F1 2010 running at the top left for the Xbox 360, F1 2011 at the top right also for the Xbox 360, the bottom left is last year's F1 2014 for the Playstation 3 and of course F1 2015 running on the Playstation 4 completes the foursome in the bottom right video."
