I Choose Saints Row IV over GTA V

CCC Says: "Y So Serious, GTA V?
I appreciate the Grand Theft Auto V series for what it is, and totally get the love and devotion people have for the games. It's good stuff. The thing is, everything's also so darkly serious. It's just so dramatic. Sometimes, you've just got to lighten up. You need to kick back, relax, and enjoy the mayhem. Which is why, when my favorite indie retail store had used copies of GTA V and Saints Row IV this weekend for the same price, I went with the Saints."

"As much fun as roaming around Los Santos might be, exploring virtual Steelport is better"

Because nothing beats roaming around the same exact city you did in SR3, as opposed to GTA 5's completely rebuilt Los Santos.

I see for you what counts is the graphics not the fun and pleasure you take by playing a game.Kids this days!Your avatar suits you well dumb people.

HolyDuck3857d ago (Edited 3857d ago )

Please guide me to where I mentioned graphics?

Heck, I didn't make them make the map look amazing, but at least it's fresh, huge and still manages to look fantastic, I take pleasure out of exploring new things, not reused assets.

Please take your "you dumb people" somewhere else. I also think it's hilarious how you've decided to personally attack the way I look, really shows how mature you are about this whole subject.

What they did with GTA V's world is incredible. The amount of detail is astounding.
That said, what they did with Saints Row IV and it's gameplay mechanics, it did not feel like the same city to me. Even if it was.
They gave us a whole new way to explore the city and I found it to be a vastly different experience.
Just saying.

Great opinion piece!Take it for what it is an opinion!

If you think GTA V is serious, you probably did not play it...

@HolyDuck
Your sentence says all, when you say :"GTA 5's completely rebuilt Los Santos"its more than obvious that you are targeting the graphic side of the game! Its an obvious assumption since you dont talk about anything other than rebuild visuals. This all taking in context the rest of your sentence. Not to mention that your response to the article is off the context in every way.

The more you talk, the more moronic you sound. Please stop, as you've nothing intelligent to add to the conversation.

Sincerely, Everyone

Cost of realistic looking movement.

Rockstar need to learn that 12 years of work and 5000 employees doesn’t account for one persons opinion on the internet…

Oh and hundreds of millions of dollars in revanue to boot.

Lots of complaints about gta ever since the hd era started and yet it's bugger than its ever been with gta vi up to 180 million trailer views alone. The next game is shaping it be be another genre defining game

They already learned they dont have to actually make a great game

sagapo33d ago

The controls of RDR2 felt a but cluncky indeed, but it’s not as bad as some make it out to be. At no point did I get the feeling my experience with the game was held back or ruined by the controls.
But it can never hurt to optimize them a bit, sure.

Zhipp32d ago (Edited 32d ago )

I did accidentally beat someone to death a couple times. An unfortunate mistake but besides that I didn't have any problems with the controlls

jznrpg33d ago

Red Dead Redemption felt clunky at first but I got used to it fairly quick. I thought 2 was easier to control but it could be my experience with the first game helped me out. Great games

Profchaos33d ago

I wouldn't call Rockstar games characters clunky instead they feel like they move with Weight they are not twitch controls press x to instantly snap onto cover the characters instead move like a actor would ducking behind cover they are exposed while they get there.
