The console version shits on the PC version. So glad I avoid Blizzard games.

Sad because Blizzard was seen as one of the last PC only giants. They will wait until the action house is gone and then do a patch that makes it like the console version. They have to finish milking their cash cow first.

@feralk

"The console version shits on the PC version. So glad I avoid Blizzard games"

how so, in the fact that its sub hd 582p??

that is pretty awesome, or the fact that it is smothered in jaggies like all console games

or the fact that it runs like trash?

or the fact that the controls are awful

please enlighten me as to other ways the console versions are so awesome

is it awesome on console because it looks like a blurry Vaseline smeared mess?

Of course the PC version looks better, he meant that the console version has better gameplay by not forcing you to use the auction house or grind all day for half decent loot.

achmetha3862d ago

i think he means gameplay-wise.
the console version has a much greater focus on finding and earning loot which is much more in line with the classic formula than the auction house focused pc version. once the auction house is removed, and the loot 2.0 patch is released on PC, i think PC will be the definitive version.

the game itself won't look better than the pc version, it's the altered critical components that matter here.

i thought everyone preached gameplay > graphics?- apparently this is not the case.

Reverent3862d ago (Edited 3862d ago )

No offense but are you really arguing about the graphical quality of Diablo 3? It's an isometric dungeon crawler. Blizzard didn't design it with a PC elitist's ideas of graphics in mind. Literally WHO cares if consoles don't run it at *ultra* settings? No one but you.

By the way, I guarentee you've never even played it on consoles. It plays wonderfully. It's far more fun than I had playing it on PC. You just sound defensive.

grimmweisse3862d ago

Gameplay you tit, gameplay. As for graphical fidelity, D3 never pushed any boundaries, so it looks fine on consoles that has 7 and 8 year old hardware. Please justify spending $500 on a gfx card to overcompensate playing D3 on your PC.

It's definitely the definitive version, it is the version the PC version was supposed to be, none of that online auction house, no always online, local 4 player co-op. I would take those over the resolution you're so snooty about.

Consider yourself enlightened,

Mutant-Spud3862d ago

They're getting rid of the Auction house on PC next March and isn't the whole point of the game grinding, it is for me.

Cyberpunk and No Man's Sky have to be up there. We're lucky and cursed, equally, to have games that can be updated now. For folks old enough to remember the Sega/SNES into PS1 and even 2 eras, if a game came out that was half baked (*cough*Angel of Darkness*cough*) that was it, no redemption. At the same time, having the option for updates shouldn't be an excuse for half assing games.

thorstein78d ago

I remember when the Nintendo Seal of Approval meant something.

All those games had to release without bugs.

shinoff218379d ago

Comebacks shouldnt be a thing in videogames. Just saying.

Diablo III - Still a Huge Draw in the Face of Diablo IV

Diablo III still works on modern PlayStation and Xbox consoles, and remains hugely playable a decade after initial release.

Palitera388d ago

Are you comparing a continuously improved 10+ years old masterpiece with the... beta of an unreleased game?

kevco33387d ago

Heh, yeah. There's no comparison in here! Its a commentary on how III is still very playable over a decade later.
